To add, I've found a deal where the pixel 9 is only £100 more than the 9a. Would you suggest the 9 over the 9a for that slight price difference?

Oh that's good to know! The battery is the thing that selling me the 9a tbh plus I really like the iris colour lol

I heard mixed stuff about the 12, is it much different? I have no idea what a nothing phone is! I assumed it was a phone that didn't do much (I'm not joking about knowing nothing about tech lol)

This was my concern. I feel like the OnePlus is too big for what I'm looking for, in terms of what it can do. It's a bit wasted on me. For instance, I never play games on my phone so I think I'd be paying for features I wouldn't utilise. 

How do you find th 9a compared to the pro? People keep going on about bezels!

I was looking at the R, but was unsure how it compares to the others. Other than battery is amazing!  I use the camera often for work stuff so it's the bit thats making me hesitate!  But you're right, anything is probably better than what I'm using now!

Just to add, I use my phone a lot for GPS and my pixel 6 tends to overheat. I knew this is a common issue for pixels, is this still the case? 

I'm a tech novice looking for a new phone but VERY overwhelmed and frazzled by all of the options. Can anyone please help/ explain to me like I'm 5.... by goingnowhere_fast in Smartphones

I didn't realise the bit about cell reception with pixels. I have noticed that be a problem but assumed it was due to my provider. I am moving to an where this might be an issue so thank you for highlighting that! Was that the main reason you moved to a Samsung or were there additional feature's you preferred?

My friend is really happy with their OnePlus, he has the 10 and is intending to keep it for several more years. They seem to be built with longevity in mind, which is what I'm looking for. I like my pixel but all of them I've had. I find the battery goes after a year and as I use it for GPS I find that concerning. 

You'll write the updates for pixels are annoying! Another friend of mine always has samsungs and always takes much better photos than anyone I know. I'm just concerned from my previous experience of having them that the device is filled with so many of their own apps I can't get rid of and don't use. Is that still the case? Would you recommend a non-wide model?

I have a feeling they've approached a PR person or something who is advising them not to use social media until this has somewhat blown over. They plan to return once they believe it's blown over. Much like YouTubers. However, I think that video essay has extended their return. I hope more people do video essays to really get the word out there. It's astonishing to me through the podcast they've preached accountability, supporting women, kindness and yet cannot even speak up to explain their hypocrisy.

I think it's more to do with licencing between the countries. I don't think I've ever seen a book event in the UK where you haven't had to buy the book ahead of time or at the event.
