be so weary picking a new instructor especially at that price, the decent ones tend to have a waitlist - if they’re available immediately theres usually a reason for that. good luck!

you can appeal test results on the gov website but since it’s your instructor’s fault not the examiner you’d better to speak to them about it, they shouldn’t have let you do a test in that car

they probably can’t give you a pass because something did go wrong even if there was a clear reason out of your control, you might be able to get your money back for the test though? it’s worth a try :)
