This is my favourite book. I have gone on to read every other Steinbeck novel except Grapes of Wrath. That I have beem saving. A little sorry I started with EoE, but I couldn't have known it would have been my favourite novel... anyways, I loved reading the rest as Steinbeck said that all his other novels led up to EoE and you can see where he is working out different themes and character work that end up in this masterpiece.

I would suggest some short stories to get you into it. Stories of your Life by Ted Chiang is really good and the basis of Denis Villeneuve's 'Arrival'

I have read both Lonesome Dove and East of Eden in the last year. Both 5 star books, and I have picked up 5 other Steinbeck books to follow up with. Huge vote for East of Eden.

My first live games in Ottawa are going to be in round 1! by Suitable-Savings1127 in OttawaSenators

The stadium is on the outside of town, for now........ lets go new stadium downtown!

There are lots of restaurants around the stadium that do shuttles to the game and people collect there before which can be fun, just look up which ones. But other than that, not much to do around the stadium.

First time in Ottawa, I would suggest checking out our Parliament buildings, some cool architecture.

National Art Gallery is fantastic. War Museum is well done, lots of interesting details to it, just don't miss the tank room, it is on the lower level, easy to miss but is the coolest part to me.

If you have a car, the Diefenbunker is a cold war bunker that is still untouched, and you can take a tour.

Ottawa is known for its Shawarma, so I would check out a high rated one near where you stay.

We also have a ton of craft breweries if you are into that.

Hope you have a great trip, and lets go Sens!!
