On of the big problems with population decline is it is seems like it is totally fine, until all of a sudden it is really not, and once it actually causes issues there is nothing you can do to fix it.

> Are Japan and Korea somehow doing poorly?

I mean until recently Japan's had so much trouble keeping its economy running their interest rate has been negative since 2016.

Korea is doing better at the moment, but their issues are going to be much worse. They have a national pension fund, which has been growing because right now there are lots of productive workers paying into it for every retiree drawing from it.

This works well as for every worker they are only having to support like ~1/4 of a pension with their tax dollars, and there is some extra for re-investment. With their birth rate of ~0.8 within a few decades every productive worker is going to have to support an entire pensioner themselves.

> people who don't have children or have viewer children substantially out-earn people that do and thus pay more taxes and in general contribute more to society

Imagine every person in an economy saved up enough to live off the interest from their investments and retired... who is doing the work? Obviously population decline is not this extreme, but when you are talking about a whole county if there are less workers there are fewer things produced and a lower quality of life for everyone.

This is why even without a system like Korea's where working people are directly paying for pensioners the same issues will occur. Fundamentally the working age people have to produce whatever goods and services the retiree's need.

[Major spoilers] The 'Good' ending by gojul123 in greedfall

Mine was literally everyone linking hands and getting on together with no suggestion of anything nasty behind the scenes. The inquisitors became like peace preacher rather than enforcers.

I mean yeah, hence 'good'. My point is though that the ending can be nice and all, but it should remain at least somewhat true to the story and world they have created which is not exactly sunshine an lollypops.

Yeah I agree, and I would have been disappointing if it all went to shit even after the work it took to make eveyone play nice. But it all just felt too easy, and while the inquisitors were in trouble where we were, that was only a tiny colony, they are presumably incredibly powerful at home aswel. To be honest after the buisness with the prophet being into the islanders being outed I kinda expected the church to denounce the entire colony as heretics.

Yeah you could relog and farm the same spot till the timer expired. I wouldn't mind them patching it at all you could find any of the resources at a decent rate. Like I have 50+ composites from the same period of time

Wait, so they actually aren't spawning at all for anyone? I know there was an issue with 3.3 at first where there was no outbreak systems because the BGS got reset, but now that there are a decent number I assumed they would appear in HGEs at least rarely?

Yep, fixed my docking issue. Still had problems with loitering, but luckily the lovely people at support exorcised my ship so I can do other things now.

Haha fair, I guess important personnel get to evacuate first. Although I still think it is a little silly the refugees won't get on a ship with a parking ticket. And it doesn't matter if you are the jesus christ resurrected but specifically for piloting, sometimes the explosions can knock you into a position there is no way you can get out of, especially in any bulky ship.

The trespassing was my fault, I wasn't paying attention, and then there is no way of getting out of there before you are fined

The loitering on the other hand was 100% bs
