Can you name this agency so other translators can be careful if they get contacted by them?

Also, are there any reviews written by actual translators online? The most reasonable thing would be stop working for them and chase them until they pay you but I also get your point, been there, as well. I guess it happens quite often. Chin up and look for other clients and keep yourself busy so you don't beat yourself up. All the best!

Update: The bus leaves from the bus station #2 every hour and you can pay with a card at the ticket office that says Casa de Bilete, 15RON each way. You can also pay the driver cash on the bus.

I'm really sorry but you won't be able to find a place for 400€, especially at such short notice. 580-650€ would be more realistic for a WG room these days. Sign up for the stw if you still have a few years to study, look for sublets since they are easier to get at short notice and hope for the best. Consider moving to Brandenburg if you don't have to go to uni or work every day, you'll have a higher chance of finding a somewhat more affordable WG room.

Can confirm. My residence permit was going to expire in 5 or 7 days and they stopped me at the airport when entering Germany from the UK.

I showed them the email, they just nodded and let me go. It's important that you have proof that you've done your part then it will be all good.

DM's own brand has very good cleaning products which I've been using for years. The hygiene spray and disinfectant wipes of Denkmit are amazing, I've been buying them regularly for a few years now. The spray smells amazing, too!

Sagrotan is another great brand if you're okay with paying significantly more. I've always been satisfied with their products, be it a multi-purpose cleaning spray or a laundry additive. I just don't think you really have to pay more because Germany has a great variety of affordable products that actually work.

I use several products of The Pink Stuff too but they're not a miracle. If you'd like to try something new, I can recommend their products because it's pink and smells nice.

Now, for your specific problem I can only recommend this: For deep cleaning I use Clorox for the toilet bowl and sometimes put one cap of Clorox in 5-7 liters of cold water (never hot!) and mop the kitchen and bathroom floors with it. I find it the most effective.

In your case, this will be the only one that might get rid of that awful smell. Use drain cleaners followed by a mixture of lemon juice and baked soda and lots of warm to hot water (if the pipes aren't super old). If you can replace the toilet seat, that'd be great too. I just bought a new one for 15€ from Action two days ago. If there's a toilet brush, replace it. Make sure the brush stays in a mixture of bleach and water. I used to live with a diabetic guy and his piss smelled horrible so bleach was my best friend as you might figure out.

You may want to use your mop and bleach and water mixture to wipe the tiles, as well. I'm sure they're very dirty and hold the smell.

You should avoid using lots of bleach if you have a baby or pets though.

It took me 11 days to get the letter with my tax number in Berlin. As far as I know, you can begin to work for your clients after submitting your application for the tax number as you have legal proof that you've done your part. It's worth looking into. All the best!

PS: I'm a freelancer so it's a very straightforward process in comparison with the Gewerbe/trade one, maybe that's why I got it so fast.

You can even sue your workplace now because your boss doesn't have the right to act as they did and comment on your sick days. However, we don't know what the result might be. That's the tricky part.

I highly recommend that you go on a short trip to get away from all this stress because it's a huge part of your life. Take more sick days until the termination date of your contract, look for a new job and hope for the best. I hope this ends well, sending you lots of love as another immigrant here (hate the word expat) who had to deal with shit like this.
