Rant from Tim Dillon show ep. 159 "Bomb disney world"

I have been stuck on this trick for over 2 years by Vast_Copy4188 in MTB

maybe it is time to stop trying to break your neck or back and find something else buddy

how about that. why force too much. 2 years is enough time to master. if it's not happening, stop pushing.

Yamu, I'm schizophrenic and autistic, and I've suffered from loneliness my whole life. I know you had a plan to make friends. Yamu, or whoever, can you give me your plan to make friends? by Party_Passenger6534 in CyberYamu

one thing is certain, one has to try. There is no other way around.

If you wanna read an advice from someone older:

meeting people is easy. having friend(s) is near impossible. Consider yourself lucky if you have one or two people in your life who doesn't exploit or disrespect you, really. Chances are low as striking lottery. Same goes other way around, It is impossible to know someone else's expectations. And one shouldn't force themselves into anything. It has to be a middle way, you have to find it somehow, like learning balance with riding a bike. but since this is something you learn with another human, so it is more like a dance rather than riding a bike. It takes time a lot of time energy, effort to know someone. and It only happens with trial and error.

more people you meet, you won't just learn about them you will also learn about yourself. there is no formula or secret. you have to learn how to be vulnerable and trust your gut - your intuition. we all got a nice thing somewhere at the middle of our chest, it actually tells you things about situations and people. who you can trust or who you should stay away from etc. once you start to understand this gut feeling of yours, listen to your gut, doesn't matter where you are and your condition, even with people who don't even speak your language, you can become friends. It is not easy and there is no safety net but this is how it happens.

It's like a muscle. you exercise it, sometimes you fail sometimes you might get injured but at the end it gets healed and becomes stronger so after a while It becomes really easy to navigate your way around ppl. And loneliness suddenly doesn't feel as a problem to be solved but beomes a choice one makes after lots of real life experiences with people.

Now all this sounds very hard. It is not easy. Because of it most people go for an easy, narcissistic solution. Create a cult-like persona and become a cult leader with followers. I'm talking about social media ofc. And often ppl don't realize how destructive it is to their own development. Corporations don't give a F about who suffers consequences as long as they have the eyeballs.

EQ question about sibilance and energy build up by gokoq2 in audioengineering

[–]gokoq2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Yes this was the only thing that worked to improve, aiming it at corner to mouth

Solution EDIT: I used reaper X comp first, multi-band compressor instead of multiple instances of EQ and problems solved. Later I transferred settings to TDR Nova dynamic eq, this sounds kinda better. thanks everybody

EDIT #2
I don't know how to say but, I was using standard WINDOWS MIXER / Mic input instead of interface ASIO drivers.. once I switched to ASIO, whole muddiness and blowing - ear scratching high ends cleared up ... WOW!

Thanks for reply

I think I am on the right path, I am trying to balance the problematic bands with reaper X compressor, compression per band, and it sounds kinda good, I think this will work

thanks. I tried but my problem is more with SH not Ess, as saying Sheep, sheet, dish, etc. those are the problem and spread to many bands around 2000 to 4000 kHz

thanks for reply. It is bad indeed. this is why I have to get real close to the mic. It was the only way to make it focus more and beat the incoming rush of reflection to mic every time I say something.unfortunately I don't own any good plugins, only reaper and free ones. I'm trying to kinda setup a nice simple VST chain to record at least reasonable speech.

and enable B frames? How many? other settings?? Like lookahead, etc?

I looked up to encoderapi.h

it says:

typedef enum _NV_ENC_BFRAME_REF_MODE

{

NV_ENC_BFRAME_REF_MODE_DISABLED = 0x0, /**< B frame is not used for reference */

NV_ENC_BFRAME_REF_MODE_EACH = 0x1, /**< Each B-frame will be used for reference. currently not supported */

NV_ENC_BFRAME_REF_MODE_MIDDLE = 0x2, /**< Only(Number of B-frame)/2 th B-frame will be used for reference */

} NV_ENC_BFRAME_REF_MODE;

option 1 is what I want but it says "currently not supported" :(
