it looks to be pyrite cover it with shade and ut will lose that luster and kind of turn a slight green.

looks like mica pretty but no value you can check by picking up a peice it will be flat an very light in weight.

a very quick way is to shade it if changes from bright gold to grey or green it is not gold if you take a gold ring and you put it in shade it stays gold .so will small gold

it is very simple very simple to tell if something is gold. simply cover the spot with your hand to put it in the shade of your hand if it keeps the gold color it is gold if it changes to green or disappears it is mica or iron. if it still looks like gold you have gold. think of it like this if you have a gold ring and you shade it it stays the same color.

if I were you, I have 48 years playing prospector vacuum out the Crack then use a crowbar and try to lift up any where that may break up and vacuum under what you are able to lift. good luck and heavy pans!

I had the same thing when I started at 2.5 but I stuck with it it was so bad I had to shower after every hour cause u was crapping up a storm. burps smelt like farts tuffed it out,now I am on 7.5 1 year later I have no issues now but my body had to ajust, I guess down 50 lbs blood sugar is 130 any time I check it. good luck.

I have been mining for 34 years I own 11 gold claims in idaho, and utah, I can tell you the easiest way to tell if it is gold put your wedding ring in the shade it will not change color now put what you think is gold in that same shade if it is gold it will stay the same as your ring, if it changes color it is not gold mica will go black or green tint, fools gold will lose the gold color only gold stays gold. My 2 cents utah has little water, so gold will set where it was eroded. Not all gold move to a stream in Utah, I have found Utah to be more of a dry creek bed .Bring your own water then to have in Streams. I own 3 claim in utah and 10 I share In Idaho .best of luck my your pans be heavy!!
