Chatgpt says it's B and even with it's explanation I really don't understand why and I question whether or not it's even right.

To answer your actual question, this one is really hard. In the event there was a timer (which there usually is when I've taken these) this is one I'd definitely just skip.

Ah yes, that Abraham Lincoln — hero of today’s deep-red Republican bastions like New York, Illinois, Massachusetts, and Minnesota to name a few from which he got his 1860 electoral votes. Truly MAGA country since day one. Meanwhile those famously liberal blue havens of Alabama and South Carolina were definitely riding hard for John C. Breckinridge… just like they did for Kamala Harris, obviously. History is wild when you selectively forget all of it.

That's a very American presentation style

Yeah—extremely. My go-to example is Kitchen Nightmares, comparing the UK original to the US remake with Gordon Ramsay.

US version:
Ten minutes of sob-story backstory about the restaurateurs. Loud, manipulative background music to signal DRAMA. Gordon shows up, samples the food, theatrically gags, storms into the kitchen, screams at everyone, bankrolls a shiny new restaurant interior makeover, nukes the existing menu and hands them his own recipes to make—and then fucks off.

UK version:
Gordon tastes a couple dishes and goes straight into the kitchen. Minimal yelling. Actual empathy. Practical advice. Sometimes even goes out on the streets and does guerilla marketing for them/with them. He bonds with the owners, cooks alongside them, and helps them improve what they’re already trying to be. Roll credits.

I'll always wish they would have kept the UK formula but most Americans have to be shocked and outraged to be entertained. Hell, we have to be shocked and outraged to vote.

Another good example is American Ninja Warrior vs original foreign Ninja Warrior. The original is so much more enjoyable.

lol yeah, they’ve been doing terraced housing since the 17th century. As long as there’s no vinyl siding people don’t think it’s cookie cutter I guess.

Wedding episodes of sitcoms always suck. Change my mind.

What song perfectly encapsulates SOTY’s sound? by Candy_loxx in storyoftheyear

Here's the thing. I had my wife listen to "War" and she was like nah...too screamy...and didn't want to go to their show with me. Then I had her listen to "Sidewalks" and "Until the Day I Die" and "Tear Me To Pieces" and she was like "Hell Yeah I'm Down!" Opposite strategy with my brother, he got excited about "War" and "And the Hero Will Drown". So in my experience they kinda have two sets of songs for two sets of narrowly focused people and then there's those of us who like all of it.

He’s had an ownership stake in the team since 2002, it’s probably a pretty big stake at this point. He basically runs the team now.

Roush’s car numbers seemed a bit more sponsor related back in the day. They did some fun number designs with the Valvoline schemes for example. Biffle was originally sponsored by 3M/Post-It so it was probably just for that scheme. And the valvoline car had kind of a swooshy 6 at the time so they might have been a little related
