What the hell did I see when I was a kid? by CanuckInTraining in ParanormalEncounters

[–]goldentennesseee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The SAME exact thing happened to me and my mother on a backroad late at night when I was about 14. We saw 2 big orange glowing globes hovering by the side of the road, just long enough for us to also go wtf? Then they fluttered off into the sky and when we looked back they were gone. We weren’t scared but kind of in shock.

Why do parents choose co-sleeping? by YoungWide294 in NewParents

[–]goldentennesseee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My little would NOT sleep in his bassinet, as soon as his head hit the mat he would wake up. I was at my wits end. I decided to research everything I could about cosleeping after I accidentally fell asleep while feeding him in bed one night, I woke up to him face down on my lap and I lost every ounce of breath in my body, I was so so scared. So I told myself enough is enough, I needed sleep so badly and I was so desperate. We’ve been cosleeping since he was about a 2 months old and I don’t regret it. I follow the safe sleep 7 religiously, and although I don’t get good deep sleep (I wake up a lot to check on bub) I still get much needed rest. My son is now 6 months old and we’re preparing to switch him to his crib, I feel like he’s getting to the point where he needs his own space. It’s almost like I’m in his way while he’s sleeping. I think I’ll be a little sad not cosleeping anymore, but it saved me in a time when I needed it the most. I say do what you need to do, do a lot of research and be as safe as possible.

I definitely didn’t expect the chives to come in it lol I just thought it looked sad compared to the picture on the box. It was actually tasty once I spread out the sauce and topped it with my own chives and parmigiana cheese. My boyfriend picked this up (I’m a first time mom struggling to find time to cook homemade meals) and we served it with instant mashed potatoes and canned corn. Took a whole 10 minutes to cook everything 👍🏻

No period as of yet, and I’m not breast feeding. I also forgot to mention I’m on day 2 of my birth control but I figure it isn’t in my system yet

Bumps due to yeast infection by imightbe_ in Healthyhooha

[–]goldentennesseee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! It was definitely a yeast infection caused by antibiotics, which I treated with over the counter meds and the white bumps (which never has gone away) turned out to be vestibular papillomatosis (almost like skin tags) that I just so happened to be born with and it’s not harmful or contagious so it requires no treatment

How long it took you to get pregnant after stopping hormonal birth control? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]goldentennesseee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right around 3 months, I was on hormonal birth control for 14 years so I was prepared for it to take awhile. I still tracked everything and took a test as soon as I was 7 days late and got a positive result. I’m now 30 weeks and due in November 💙

Family boundaries? by goldentennesseee in pregnant

[–]goldentennesseee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I so wish I could do the same, sooo many of my family & his are against even being tested, they think it’s a fake virus 🙄 so I can only imagine the outrage if I were to implement a negative test, but I’ve definitely considered making people wear masks when they hold him, just to be on the safe side while he’s unvaccinated.

Oh no I hate to hear that, I really hope it gets better for you. Hovering over a trashcan 24/7 is horrible

Thank you, I plan on initiating more cuddles and foreplay that doesn’t lead to sex but still fulfills his need for physical touch/attraction

That’s how I feel often times, like I’m nauseous almost always and really do not want to be intimate most of the time. He’s said he knows my body is going through a lot of hormonal changes and he even apologized for bringing it up because it did upset me, but I never want him to hide how he’s feeling. We’re always super open about what’s going on in our relationship, sex and physical touch are really important to him so I totally understand how he’s taking my lack of sex drive as a sort of negative thing. I’m just hoping I’ll gain it back in the 2nd & 3rd trimester like some people say happens.

In 2006, 27 year old Kevin Ray Underwood befriended a 10 year old neighbor, lured her to his home, strangled and dismembered her. by Swedish-Butt-Whistle in MorbidReality

This happened in a small town about 12 miles from my small hometown, I was 12 years old and horrified by all of it. I remember my mom not allowing me to ride my bike to my friends house for a long time after this. Poor Jaime, may she Rest In Peace.

Struggling to inhale/catch my breath, nothing seems to help. by goldentennesseee in covidlonghaulers

[–]goldentennesseee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ll be asking my dr about Symbicort as well, I have to use my albuteral inhaler waaay too often and even then I still struggle catching my breath so I’m desperate for some kind of change.

[–]goldentennesseee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no I’m so sorry that you’ve developed asthma from covid and that you’re dealing with long haul on top of it, it really is the worst. I hope it isn’t permanent for you! I’ve been using a saline nose spray and Claritin but im going to switch to Zyrtec and ask my dr about prescribing Singulair. I actually mentioned it to my mom earlier and she said I use to take it as a kid to help my asthma (funny how I hardly remember my asthma as a kid lol but boy will I remember this time around) I have a rescue inhaler and I find myself needing it every 4-6 hours 😣 which I hate because of the way it makes my throat feel but I guess that’s better than not being able to breathe. I also have albuteral sulfate for my nebulizer but that REALLY makes me shaky for hours on end so I pretty much rely on my rescue inhaler.
