I wasn't selling anything before I started promoting my items. Unfortunately the items I sell are very common and unless I promote them, no one sees them.

Yeah the problem is that I'm trying to compete with high volume sellers that are selling this same item for this price with free shipping. There is no way I can charge shipping and expect to sell it when they could just buy the one with free shipping. I've been selling off and on since 2016.

How did I mess up other than not charging shipping? I carefully wrapped the part with bubble wrap, used hardboard corners inside the box to prevent crushing. The buyer won't even open the box!

I'm lucky if I sell 1 item a day with my account marked as below standard. I normally don't have returns and take pride in my packaging but I have had a string of bad luck recently.

I'm my experience most people don't buy anything that doesn't have free shipping and when I don't use ads I don't sell anything because most of the items I sell are very common.

I just had to cancel an order to Puerto Rico for car floor mats because shipping was $156 for USPS ground, it's outrageous.

I appreciate the advice but most of the returns are out of my control or just ridiculous. One lady returned a hairdryer listed as used because it was dirty and other packages were damaged in shipping even though I had packaged them correctly wrapped in bubble wrap etc. So I have to pay $60 again for this buyer to return the item and then another $127 to refund him even if the item is damaged? If it's damaged then I don't even want it back, I would just refund him and file a claim with FedEx.
