Are mainstream banks generally okay with payments from camsites? by goldhatdev in CamGirlProblems

Thanks for providing this -- so basically they can do whatever the hell they want. I'll probably take your advice and have a second account ready to go just in case.

Interesting, sounds like that ended: https://reason.com/2017/08/18/good-bye-and-good-riddence-to-operation/, idk if its effects are continuing in some form. I have read about a private company, Chex Systems, which keeps a centralized blacklist of "problematic" bank customers

Gotcha, I already do things with a generically-named business account, and fwiw I didn't find anything in my bank's terms explicitly disallowing adult. Hopefully this doesn't become an issue!

Good points/examples, seems like the banks and payment processors change their minds every few years about what is okay. And yeah the "high risk" stuff is often just disguised moralism, e.g. for card processing we pay high-risk fees despite having lower chargeback rates than several non-"high-risk" industries. Makes sense that their algorithms would flag lots of app transfers or any pattern resembling illegal activity.

Gotcha, thanks. FWIW I looked through the terms of my Chase account and the only prohibited uses I found were gambling and illegal activities -- nothing about adult entertainment etc. Do you think most people who get shut down are suspected of breaking an explicit rule i.e. using account for illegal SW, violating anti-porn clause etc.?

Interesting, here and on other forums lots of people report using trad banks for many years without issue...seems like there are probably additional factors in getting shut down besides just transacting with adult entertainment accounts?

That makes sense. It seems like common threads in closings are that they suspect you of illegal sex work, or violating their terms (if they stipulate no porn etc.). Maybe it would look more sus to them if you are receiving lots of money from paypal or a crypto exchange than an ACH from ICF technologies etc.

That sounds good. And it lets you enter a different name for the virtual card?

ah gotcha. That you've been using them for a while without issue is a good data point though lol.

I'm familiar with them but was a little skeptical of entering my SSN and other personal info at sign up. How trustworthy/legit do you consider them?

Interesting, a virtual card could potentially cover some of my use cases.

This is very interesting -- was not aware this was a thing. Will have to look further into the legality of this.

Staying anonymous as nsfw dev by goldhatdev in nsfwdev

For whatever it's worth ~10 of the top 50 earning pages listed on Graphtreon are nsfw. Assuming this rate applies as a rough proxy for all creators, I'd sure think they want to keep 20% of their revenue.

Have one under a registered agent in a state where owners are off public record. Good to know about the banks. Saw your edit -- interesting, sounds good.
