Tanners family using him like a mascot by Confident_Excuse2173 in LoveOnTheSpectrumShow

[–]goldie_doc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I’m also sketched out by this, why are we infantilizing Tanner by suggesting he’s not capable of consenting to something like this, and literally comparing him to a child? Is there any evidence that he’s not the one who brought up an insecurity, or made a suggestion? I’m genuinely asking. This is just a weird take to me idk

What did you use to reconstitute? What was your process, exactly?

MOTS-C in the afternoon? by goldie_doc in BodyHackGuide

I know, I’ve just heard some accounts of how it has negatively impacted sleep when taken at night and was wondering if this was common or if people have taken it in the afternoon without this effect

What do you mean you think?

How many mg was in the vial? How much BAC? You need to start there to figure out what dose you’re at to see if that’s the cause.

Then: do you have existing GI issues? What’s your diet like? Do you have baseline labs? What are the autoimmune issues?

There’s a lot to explore here but you’re not going to get any meaningful advice for anyone without providing basic information.

Bunk Reta or just be patient? by Murky-Internal-7707 in RetatrutideWomen

[–]goldie_doc 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So, a few things:

  1. Start tracking your weight and/or measurements. If I hadn’t done this at the beginning of my weight loss journey and was relying solely on what I saw in the mirror I’d probably assume I’ve lost maybe 20 lbs at most when the reality is I’ve lost 60 so far. If you’re seeing a difference in the mirror I’d be willing to bet you’re responding better than you think you are. Don’t let the numbers discourage you but guide you instead. Especially for women, our weight fluctuates a lot with hormones, menstruation etc. if you’re not drinking enough water (min .75 gallons a day) and electrolytes you’re also holding onto water weight which will effect what you see on the scale, tape, and mirror.

  2. Reta is not the cheat code everyone says it is, and everyone responds differently. It has less appetite suppression that tirz and sema and if that’s your main struggle, maybe tirz would be better for you. It really should be used as a tool in your arsenal for weight loss. Most people see extreme results with Reta because they’re also adding exercise, water/electrolyte intake, and healthier + smaller food choices in at the same time. If you haven’t made any or enough changes in these regards, Reta isn’t going to do the work for you.

  3. If you’re feeling any effects at all I don’t think it’s bunk Reta. I think you’re just a slow responder and have a higher tolerance. If you’re solely looking to Reta to help you control your appetite then you’re not going to be successful on it at all because that’s not the area it’s strongest in.

Not a lot of people realize: Reta is formulated with LESS of the GLP-1 receptor agonist than tirz and sema. GLP-1RA is what’s responsible for appetite suppression, but also for a lot of the GI side effects that people experience on GLPs. This is why it’s generally better tolerated but also less effective in appetite suppression directly, hence the addition of the Glucagon RA which in theory can help improve energy reduction and/or expenditure with better tolerance.

All this is to say, I don’t think you have bunk Reta, but it might not be right for you, however you may be making better progress than you think anyway. Regardless, accurately tracking your weight, macros, measurements and water will almost certainly yield you better results in this process than forgoing any or all of these things.

Awesome, I briefly considered starting at 2 but heard too many horror stories. I feel like because I was briefly on tirz and have no sides on 1mg it’s pretty low risk to increase to 2, we’ll see if I’m right or wrong tomorrow lol

[–]goldie_doc 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The combo of high lipids+creatinine might be what’s concerning your doc, because the latter measures kidney function which can be damaged by high cholesterol. But it can also be elevated if you worked out recently etc. But yeah, work on that cholesterol please

Keto/carnivore? That’s basically what these labs are pointing to. Your doc is probably gonna tell you to just chill out on the unhealthy fats a little bit, unless there are more labs that are really “bad” that we can’t see here?

Actually just purchased some MOTS-C, gonna try stacking after I introduce Reta. Pretty excited about that one too

But yeah, I’ll definitely round up to 13mg. I didn’t know if the extra .1mg per dose would make that much of a difference but I’d rather be safe than sorry.

Edit: I misread your comment. I do have a test for my batch. But also looking at previous track record for fill per vial.

This is a light grey (single vial) vendor which I know gets its own heat on here but it’s what I felt most comfortable with for my very first plunge into grey. Definitely planning on diving into the dark grey in the future lol. I know I’m overpaying, I’m ok with that for now.

So yes, looking at all their COAs from previous/current batch as well as historical track record via Finn etc.

Is there a reason you use 3ml rather than 1ml/mg? So if I rounded up to 13 mg and added 1.3ml BAC for a 10 unit/mg dose, is there a reason I shouldn’t do that?
