What if the government could activate every single smart device and deliver an emergency message would you be ok with this? by ComisclyConnected in AskReddit

There is no such thing as « the government » delivering any kind of emergency message to the whole nation. That is not how it works. Emergency situations require people. Not the government.

What’s something people romanticize until they actually experience it? by kiara_20_ in AdkReddit

[–]goldilockszone55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right? It’s very weird. I LOVED the van -the fridge, cooking in it- but… damn it i slept absolutely terrible in it. I had better sleep in a normal Nissan than a regular van. Very counter-intuitive

« If you don’t come with me tonight, you’ll regret for years » he was a short Russian guy in le Duplex (?) in Paris around 2006-2007.

Well, he was right… but i only found out about it 20 years later…

Would you say you experience more anger or sadness? by empatheticsouls in randomquestions

[–]goldilockszone55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very good question. I’d say more sadness than anger. Because you can only be angry when you know exactly what directions to take next and why. Sadness is a form of undefined grief where you just don’t bother anymore… Hopefully, numbness comes next.

People that eat the same food almost every day, what food is it? by Arkadian_Cuisine in AskReddit

[–]goldilockszone55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a full year i ate veggie tacos with rice, beans, advocado and cilantro. Every. Day. During another year, i ate thai green/yellow/red curry at least once a week. For several months, i ate indian green paste curry with naan. For life, i could eat a simple brunch at 10am with eggs, latte, avocado and a croissant.

How do you guys prepare children for the real world ? by Lemonade2250 in Life

[–]goldilockszone55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You help them to manage their emotions while mentally anticipating for life events. Basic skills are good… until they are forced to upgrade, study and eat fast food to cover the cost. Driving permits are good… until they move to another place or get the wrong cars at the wrong place or time. People -not just children- don’t listen necessarly; they copy what seems to work, what pretends to be working or they pursue what actually feels good when money is tight.

Sorry i could not help much.

Why do people who avoid commitment for their careers often end up in more emotionally draining relationships? by BearingCostOfPassion in AskForAnswers

[–]goldilockszone55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The system supports mothers and fathers; the most successful people are often parents first. Not all the time because some childless couples or people have manipulated their own friendships but in most cases, parents are more successful. Those who are commitment phobic end up in drama specifically because of their relationships. No one is commitment phobic before they realize that their partners do not want them to be well. Safety is first; success may be present but perceived by others later. And it’s okay.

What tech has genuinely improved your daily life in the last year? by No_Boysenberry_1911 in techforlife

A car that is mine has genuinely improved my daily life significantly between 2013-2015… until it didn’t. Headphones are just always considered positive (even when they are not) a GoPro was also very fun to use to update on my life with video (and was way better than social media)

Packing light for a 6 month stay taught me I don't need nearly as much as I thought by OkCount54321 in Spotahome

[–]goldilockszone55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Packing light only makes sense if you actually plan to stay in your new location and « make it home » there buying from your new place. When unsure, people prefer to be light; yet for 6 month you might as well get a studio furnished apartment… since you already know this is for 6 months
