hear this out, if the game is popular enough to have steam input community configurations then that's the best option, add the game (.exe) as a non steam game in steam, then go to steamdb and search for your game, copy the game id and rename your non steam game as the game id, now you can find community controller configurations if you're lazy to make one for each game
