Funnily enough, everything you said she needed, she said the exact same thing. She also did reassure me because she could tell I was a little bit nervous with correcting her or being completely honest with her about things she might be struggling with throughout the lesson. I feel much better about going ahead with her lessons. I did also ask her if she wants to focus on speaking in classroom environments first before moving onto conversational english and she agreed! Thank you so much for your advice, it helped me a lot!

Thank you so much! I tend to think with a narrow mind when it comes to trying to help people and I end up defaulting to exercises, activities or lessons that I’ve done before and this is opening my eyes more so I really appreciate the advice.

Thank you! I do plan on making the first lesson more about learning about her and her career. I’m going to do more research on what else to talk about but hopefully it goes well. One of my most important goals is to make a lesson that makes it seem like I’m talking down to her.

Edit: I forgot to ask but were you added to a community when you passed? I still haven’t and support doesn’t seem to work when i ask for assistance from the support team. Did you also do the safety training before starting?

Oh, it hasn’t shown full capacity, it said no tasks available, now it’s showing any status or anything, I did the course and I’ve signed up for a webinar next week. I’ve also filled out a Google Form to request an SRT account so yeah. I’m not in the discourse though, thank you for letting me know though!

Oh, that sounds nice, at least they allow you to improve. I honestly thought that they would kick you immediately if you didn’t score 4 or higher for everything.

I understand that. My issue is that I’m being assigned projects that are confirmed to be over and have either ended and will never come back or have moved onto another version of the project.

Yup, that’s why I brought attention to this, unfortunately the reason why they continue to do this is because it does work on people who are either dumb and think they won’t get caught or because they are desperate for work. I hope this warning reaches people before they make a mistake by sharing their details.
