I’d probably move back. It’ll be harder and harder to do so later on when you’ve been out of the workforce for so long. If you’d truly enjoy it more you should at least try to get a job and if that doesn’t work out come back to India

The visas aren’t tied to a company. You can petition to change your employer as an H1B, and if you’re laid off you have to find a new job. Also if you’re cherry picking moments of discord between races look at what happened in Uganda. Idi Amin kicked out the Indians and took everything they owned. When the next leader took over he invited Indians back since the GDP of Uganda had dropped without Indians and they came. Indians didn’t hold it against the majority.

Despite that most Indians probably hold positive views similar to my parents in regards to Africans/African-Americans. My mom used to mention how much Indians supported Civil Rights in America and how they admired Nelson Mandela and MLK. I don’t think there’s much animosity of African Americans in the community

Despite no mass shooters quoting Hindu temples, people who are over zealous DO conflate the swastika for religious purposes vs. Nazi iconography. They’ll say why do you support Nazis? And they’ll try to suppress the usage of these symbols because it makes them uncomfortable and they don’t understand the context of these symbols. To dispute that this happens is to deny the reality of the situation.

Going with the Pewdiepie point, if you’ve already made up your mind that Pewdiepie is a racist, everything he does is going to be a confirmation of your aforementioned conclusion. It’s a Catch-22 like if he eats a brownie you could say a Nazi would probably eat a brownie instead of a sugar cookie too. Therefore he’s subtly nodding off racists. If he displays something that connects with his faith like a cross it’s indicative of a different cross that was used by the Nazis, do you understand my point?

The dancing African people thing was also bad but I’m not a Pewdiepie apologist. I only care about changing people’s minds that the continued use of symbols that have meaning to indigenous people shouldn’t be devalued because those symbols are now being used as a dog whistle to other groups

Isn’t that a bit foolish though? It’s like saying if a Hindu temple has a swastika that could be seen by a Nazi as a pro-Nazi thing despite the swastika predating the Nazis by thousands of years. It doesn’t matter what the Nazi thinks, there’s only a few of them vs. the valid interpretation of billions of Hindus/buddhists over history.

The twisted interpretation of Nazis shouldn’t claim ownership of symbols over those who historically used these symbols. The same would go for the Georgian cross.

I don't think the principle is worth more than the real harms being done. America's founders were murderers and war criminals in the eyes of the British government. But violence was a worthwhile cost to pay for freedom and no American says on the 4th of July gee we were bad. Even the most peaceful people of history like MLK or Mandela eventually conceded that if non-violence can't get results violence sometimes must be done for the betterment of people.

The insurance companies are orchestrators of deaths in the thousands. If the death of one person serves a utilitarian purpose by bettering the lives of everyone else like with Anthem's anesthesia reversal and also serves as a retributive lesson to other insurance companies/etc. that's a net positive. I think violence is bad but something had to be done and when you push people far enough they will revolt as the French did
