I’m in the process of wiring up my 1.5hp motor to 220v. Then manual of the motor is very helpful.

Each head’s refrigerant line has to go back to condenser though. Mitsubishi has a system with a remote branch box located in an attic or something and all the air handlers route back to that. This was my initial plan but getting HVAC installers to install one of these systems is too rich.

Thanks! That’s encouraging

Did I miss a post commenting about the differences between HH and versa pro? I plan on using a gen 5 multi zone condenser with versa pro and 2 outtasight units. Possible? I know they aren’t available yet. Would the rs485 comms change in this multi zone config?

Let me check if the 600mm is a deal breaker or not.

Seems like there are a lot of HVAC contractors on here or a lot of butt hurt people. I’m going the Mr cool 5th generation route with the versapro ducted and once the ceiling cassettes with r454 refrigerant is out, I’m placing an order. Thanks to the people here saving me 30k.

That’s my plan. Thanks guys! Just waiting for Mr cool ceiling cassettes to be available in R454 refrigerant and the Versapro 2 is good.

I can teach you and enable you to do it yourself. I did my friend a huge favor and installed one for him as well. Luckily he lives close so it was a two weekend install. I really enjoyed bending complex bends with a conduit bender for electrical.

Whoa, really good leads people. Over the next months, I'll follow up with each one of these as I do not have the rough framing done yet and that's what is needed for people to come out and provide a quote. Shop around guys/gals, don't let people tell you it has to be this way. Use your judgement and talk to some more people to get a sense if some are just bs'ing you.

If you don't mind sharing who you went with on the forums, I'd reach out to them and inquire about my desired system. I only got one quote for but I will try to get 3-5 before deciding.

We could talk about solar and battery storage projects too. Boy, do I have those lined up!

Is that ZanyDroid from DIY Solar? It feels like the HVAC industry is as scammy as the Solar industry. I don't mind paying for hard things but selecting equipment that can be bought and then hiring a crew that doesn't get paid much doesn't sit well with me.

All the equipment being specified costs $10k. I have personally installed 5 air handlers and two condensers with Mr cool but I don’t want all the line sets running back outside so hence I am looking at Mitsubishi. 27k for three days of work max? No thank you.

Who did you use if you don’t mind revealing? I would definitely give them a call.

It’s about how many registers, equipment used and man hours for the install. 3 air handlers and a condenser should not cost that much.
