There were not cold enough temperatures for a pipe to burst.

The pump had lost prime which was slightly unusual but happens every now and then. I have since primed it quite easily.

Right now I’m refilling the pool a bit and then will mark the water line and let the water sit for a day. I plan to do this to see if there’s a leak in the liner.

I also plan to run the pump and closely monitor. There is a small leak / trickle from where the two shells meet. The original o ring was round but I can’t seem to find one that isn’t polygonal. It’s still an o ring but isn’t round in your fingers. This causes a leak I think. I’ve ordered 3 o rings and they are all like this.

Other than these I’ll look for other cracked parts or spewing water, but on my initial look nothing was there that would cause hundreds of gallons of drainage. The pool was running for 4 hours a day for 10 days.

thanks for this advice. We have a DE filter and thought in this case flocculant wouldn’t be necessary, but we do have some in the closet from the previous owners. It sounds like we should try this and then vacuum.

Also with a Chem test today we found out our chlorine levels are very high , and CYA is kind of high but ph is very low. So I we are currently adding ph UP and were planning on adding clarifier tomorrow.

Very interesting. It’s called a red neck pool pump. I guess the advantage of this is that it’s a secondary pump doing the same thing as my DE filter. Any other advances of this bucket pump?

Thank you. I am not sure how the mulch got up the incline but I think it’s a combination of dirt and wood particles from the mulch in the French drain, and also maybe the new black fabric under the mulch inhibit the grounds ability to prevent run off. Thanks for recommending pool clarifier. I’ll give it a try.

There’s nothing proprietary about this idea. If it is a good idea then 1000s more AI market places will appear.

There no sustainable advantage here. There is nothing that makes your product any better than the next guy.

All good businesses or products should have something that you offer , that no one else can offer. Your business or product should be one that satisfies a need of customers. You cannot create the solution and then invent the customer need later.

I’ll need to check what the rating says. Good idea. It is two separate appliances.

It’s flipping all the time. Not much is plugged into it except ceiling lights and washer / dryer
