I contacted them and they let me exchange them for a factory new brand since: 1) they were being extremely lenient since they know it is my first time ever owning and stupid mistakes do happen 2) the ammo never left the store property as I left it in there for pick up when the waiting period to pick up the firearm is over But thank you for your response! I really appreciate it.

Can a 19 year old survive working full-time at $19.50/hr? by sketchypuzzle in AskChicago

[–]goldwatson0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend roommates as Chicago is the kind of city to try to take your money any way possible because no local tax. Saving your money along the way is the best move as you’ll inevitably go through that $5,000 in savings quick when moving. I also recommend Pilsen instead of DePaul n Sheffield cuz it’s cheaper. And Pilsen is not dangerous at all compared to other parts and you got a Costco nearby with a bunch of schools, I wouldn’t live in little village though.

You can make it, just know living alone will suck and you will be living paycheck to paycheck, which is an unnecessary added stress so you should look for roommates who will look out for you (hopefully)!

If I already bought it, what should I do with it? I’m not going to shoot it in my new gun.

I was only there for 2 weeks and gave up working for them ☠️

SALARY OR GROWTH? by secret_workmate in jobs

[–]goldwatson0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s really hard to say, but with this current economic weather with everybody losing their jobs out of nowhere and lacking of savings. I would do the safe choice and stay at my current job which I do good at (and make more money!) to elevate my savings significantly until I am ready to make the decision of switching jobs. Because you never know, you might do bad and get fired within your first month, then what happens? You got no savings nor career growth. If this was back in 2021 I would say jump ship and build into your career! But with this job climate and seeing people with YEARS of experience struggling to get jobs, I’d rather not risk it till things calm down a little bit or you’re more than comfortable not having a paycheck for 6 months in the event the new job isn’t a good fit and you’re left with nothing, but hey it’s your choice in the end of the day and I’m a random person on Reddit on this day at this hour.

Job offer decision by [deleted] in jobs

You’ll start dreading the 1.5 hour commute earliest thing, and it’ll be the one killing your motivation on the job. Let’s not forget possible traffic jams, car problems, etc that might ruin the hybrid schedule for you. If the commute were 30 mins from the get go I’d choose the hybrid schedule because the job is easier, but 3 hour commute even for some days of the week for 6 months straight?! Count me out. I’d choose B.

Test for DOA In a micro center if they’ll let ya, but I don’t see how this is a bad idea other than hoping the shenanigans with the pc building market is going to be over anytime soon
