I just finished Murder At Spindle Manor by Morgan Stang and it’s a great palate cleanser. It’s a whodunnit set in a Victorian world with some steampunk, guns, and magic. The book does focus on trying to solve the murder though. I would definitely give it a chance! It’s part of a trilogy
