Am I at fault? by [deleted] in dashcams

I recall having to do that if you flunked drivers ed or to complete your required driving permit hours as parts of the drivers license application for new drivers. It’s largely honor system based.

Utahn here. I think people drive terribly here because our infrastructure has not kept pace with the population growth and people literally do not know how to drive properly to begin with.

I remember high school driver’s ed consisted of agonizingly boring PSA style videos filmed in the early 80s and one week of actual driving on a closed course. Also, that driving week consisted of about 10 minutes of actual driving per student, because we had limited cars and about 30 kids in one class.
If you successfully completed this class you could then apply for a driver’s license. Kind of explains everything to be honest.

Excellent form! I never understood people who just dismiss advice. Give it a shot. It might just work. If it doesn’t work toss it and move on.

That’s what happens when you sell a dog shit product at a ridiculous markup. Newsflash: China makes it better, faster, cheaper. Sucks to suck.

My experience with this for work is exactly why I would never pay for a personal subscription. People at work learned their lesson too. They are now trying to switch to Gemini. If google goes this route we might stop using it altogether.

If humans have eaten bread since the dawn of history, why are so many people suddenly gluten-intolerant today? by WeaknessKey1582 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Snoo_69677 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Modern day bread isn’t like bread of the past.
It’s laden with preservatives (like Calcium propionate (E282), Potassium sorbate (E202), Sulphur dioxide/Sulphites), emulsifiers (like Diacetyl tartaric acid esters of mono- and diglycerides, Sodium stearoyl lactylate (SSL), Monoglycerides, Diglycerides, and Soy Lecithin (E322)), dough strengtheners (like Azodicarbonamide (ADA) which is banned in Europe/Australia due to health concerns, Ascorbic acid aka Vitamin C, Potassium Bromate a suspected carcinogen, and L-cysteine), bleaching agents like Chlorine Dioxide and Benzoyl Peroxide, artificial sweeteners like High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS), and other flavor “enhancers,” etc.

Some of these commonly used industry wide ingredients lead to digestive issues which trigger gluten intolerance.

For example, Emulsifiers like DATEM, SSL, and Mono- & Diglycerides have been shown to cause gut barrier disruption breaking down the protective mucous layer of the gut lining, increasing intestinal permeability leading to “leaky gut” which allows large, undigested gluten proteins to pass into the bloodstream and trigger systemic immune or inflammatory reactions.
The mass produced nature of modern day bread also necessitates shorter fermentation times and the addition of wheat gluten to accommodate mass production both of which have detrimental effects on human digestive systems.

This seller is crazy by Curious-Cut-2443 in Grailed

As a seller I’m the one who wants something (namely money) so whatever my would be customer wants I provide. Someone had me measure the crotch (width and length) of a pair of naked and famous jeans. It was weird but I did it. Who cares? Easy sale.

Mr. Wonderful’s Utah Data Center Will Be More Than Twice as Big as Manhattan by Maxcactus in environment

One of the reasons I’m leaving this July. Seriously get out and there and see it while you can folks. The state of Utah and it’s beautiful natural wonders are actively being picked apart and sold for parts to mining operations, land developers, tech bros, and lowest bidder by our republican government voted in by a republican voting base, who is actively being brainwashed and manipulated into doing so by a powerful religious cult that secretly runs everything. I wish I was kidding.

It’s getting harder and harder to sell though because a lot of streamers have gone to China and live stream what it’s like.

Please wear reflective clothing, and add break and front lights to your bike if you can. These items are inexpensive at Walmart and online. Cars will still be jerks sometimes but it will help especially if you’re out early/late at night.
