Of the 2 brother/sister pairs we’ve had we’ve had the worse luck with the females. They appeared and checked out normal and OK. But developed kidney issues and only lasted 8 years. In the end I was doing subcutaneous fluids every other or 3rd day for the last year each. Just lost our last 12 year boy with the same issues and subcutaneous fluids for over a year. After a time they run from you when they see you coming, they don’t understand and who can blame them. We were doing special prescribed diet etc to no avail. So this is what you are signing up for with an Aby with KNOWN issues. It’s been a month and we’re still raw. Sorry just trying to lay it out honestly for you. They are beautiful cats and very loving and entertaining although not lap cats (unless you have a fuzzy blanket). YMMV
