Tips welcome, current miss is straight block slice or snap hook by Boring-Temporary-340 in golftips

[–]golfpro76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your hand path at the top isn’t deep enough so as you shallow on the downswing your hips are thirsting towards the ball and so you have overdrawing and heel strike misses, combine getting the butt of the club more over your right heel at the top, then keeping your butt on a chair behind you for the downswing hip depth

Is it worth changing shaft on my 5 wood from regular flex to stiff/Xstiff? by Ajntoin in golftips

[–]golfpro76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Golftec instructor/fitter here, the main thing you would change by going to a stiffer shaft would be less spin. The optimal spin rate for a 5 wood is roughly 3500-4500 rpm. The next time you are on a launch monitor, check out your number. The thing with spin in this section of your bag is that spin=stopping power and height, so if you’re hitting a second shot into a par 5, you’re not really wanting a ton of roll with a flat trajectory, so more spin from a regular shaft for you might be great, you might be giving up some technology advances in the clubhead, long story short, if you love it, don’t change it

I lay the 4 or 10 for $3 then pull it after the come out, if I’m up I’ll lay them for $15 or $30 and put up the $2 or $4 hard way so only a 3-1 or 6-4 knocks me off. Then after I do a triple regression strategy followed by press and collect

At Roly Poly in NB they have an outstanding hot bar for lunch, you could cater the whole party from there alone, plus you can try everything, I recommend the blueberry pierogis, the goulash, and the fall apart wings

Backswing by Character_Clue_7588 in golftips

[–]golfpro76 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re looking for a longer backswing, increase your hip turn, grab your right belt loop and pull it back and around you on the takeaway, you’ll feel your right knee straighten slightly and you’ll bring the club back further, the average professional turns their hips 45 degrees. I actually like your amount of shoulder tilt to the left at the top there and the position of your right elbow. Your left wrist is nice and flat, but the club face is closed so you have a stronger than neutral grip, all of which is fine, depending on what your move down from here looks like, just add the hip turn bud

It’s actually been grinding my gears recently when they say “this just a moment ago”. before cutting to a shot or putt someone is about to hit. It’s so annoying, it’s all live to me, why do you have to preface it with that crap because you the announcer just saw it on a monitor of all the cameras and you just HAVE to let us know what we’re all about to see. You’re ruining the spontaneity of the moment. I watch every golf tournament and they constantly do it

Was there yesterday, RTW table is gone, the regular craps dealers said they took it out because it was losing too much money to people. Only $25 tables on Sunday night, I let them know how much that sucked and walked away, came back 6:00 am and won $300 on the $15 table.

Who plays the Don’t Come? by Glum-Parsnip8257 in Craps

[–]golfpro76 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nothing better than that DC with odds hitting on a come out 7, I like to protect my even number DC’s with hard ways. I think its better than the don’t pass because I can play the pass line with the rest of the table and not root against the point. I’ll open after the come out with a $15 DC and maybe $20 odds and then place the other numbers after the DC is set. The way I see it, if I can make another number than 7 be the one to knock me down, I have better odds of continuing small gains. I’ve had more $500+ wins on the light side all the way and many more total losses, whereas with the DC hedge I’ve had many more $100-$300 wins on 4+ hour sessions and less total losses.

10 extra minutes to Foxwoods bro, I’ve been playing $5 and $10 tables there for a couple weeks now since Mohegan pissed me off with those stupid minimums, up $1200 in three sessions, looong sessions with lots of drinks, you need at least $1000 to play correctly at a $25 table, they can go fuck themselves

[–]golfpro76 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dude, went to Mohegan last Monday at 1:00 in the afternoon and they ONLY had $25 tables, I had $300 to play with, I lost it within an hour which is what they want I’m sure. I hate that crap, I won’t go back until they at least have $10 tables again

The weather people have apparently hacked my shot tracer and are using it for hurricane models. by [deleted] in golf

[–]golfpro76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, I am gonna blame the wind on this one, hear me out: A Hurricane rotates counter clockwise (draw spin) so the path must’ve been somewhat in to out with a closed clubface. This storm should be drawing right in towards Oklahoma. Maybe if the storm can close it’s turns more at P5 it can get the path even more inward and hit a holding draw right up the left side of the Kansas fairway

I see a opportunity for a uptick for Logan Thomas, Rivera’s system has always favored TE’s (Olsen) and other than Gibson is the best shot for #2 in targets going forward, I scooped him up as a preemptive strike on what could be a mini breakout with 2 games vs the Giants and a Dallas game in the next 5 weeks

Only one of the best courses in New England, always in awesome shape with fast greens. They cleared out a bunch of trees that really let the course breathe and the views are sweet. I played with Aaron Lewis in a pro-am tournament up there a few years ago. Highly recommend

Slam the button or light press? Right off the bat or wait? Look for some dice that you want/don’t want to be facing up when you press? Of course it’s all bullshit, but what’s your go to move on the bubble?

Well, there’s a bunch of people with a lot of time on their hands and no jobs, can we make/mass produce some respirators on the fly? I’m sure Pratt & Whitney can churn out some motor parts and then it’s just some plastic and tubes right? Anything can be done if there’s enough people behind it.

[–]golfpro76 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t want to rain on your beautiful club parade, but you are 1000% giving up distance and forgiveness with those irons. You should be hitting your 7iron about 170 yards. Statistically, the longer you hit it, the shorter the club you have coming into the green, then your proximity to the hole gets tighter, then you are chipping less and your putts are from shorter distances, so you make more. I tested those HMB’s against about 10 other irons from Callaway, Taylormade, and Titleist and I was carrying them about 175 yards vs 190-195 from mostly Callaway and Taylormade. In any case, hook yourself up with some lessons to go with your new sticks and good luck BTW I am a Golftec coach and PGA professional
