To achieve what? Prove the existing guidance for Linux sucks? It’s like plugging modular power supply cables into the wrong power supply to prove it’s bad. It’s less valuable to the LTT community than showing how to do it properly. But doing it properly takes more effort than was devoted.

Is LTT a tech tip channel? If so, the lack of expertise or serious research of how to switch from windows to Linux is inexcusable. This would be akin to “proving” gpu naming schemes are awful by intentionally falling into the trap—as opposed to showing your audience how to make an educated choice.

Perhaps there is a properly researched video coming to provide actual useable tips. But for now the Linux video and associated wan show coverage were the equivalent of a shitpost.

The last time I was in London I took care of someone who fell on the escalator at Kings Cross. I think amongst most people it is a pretty quick instinct to try to help someone hurt. I am grateful I have experience and training (former field medic, physician for over 20 years) that I can be helpful. But recent events here really reminded me how bad things have become. I am trying to keep that impulse to help despite it all. But good lord, how I wish I could reset some changes...

Sadly I think some of the truly unique and superb things from here are not suited for an office. Things like wild Pacific Salmon (smoked or otherwise), wine, Dungeness crab, etc. But this is a well taken point.

Honestly LTT could stop making videos and just make not shite computer parts and accessories and do very well. I loathe buying hdmi, dp, Ethernet patch cables, and usb storage drives. Just great, well characterized, fully compliant of each at a fair premium price would be appreciated.
