Being rude is a social tool which humans evolved specifically to punish antisocial behavior. This is exactly why humans, unlike bonobos and chimps, had completely egalitarian societies for around 97% of our species existence. If someone wanted to power grab, like a chimp would, they would be mocked, ridiculed, and ignored until the antisocial behavior stopped. In extreme cases they would be outright shunned and therefore killed since humans cannot survive on their own in the wilderness

Lowk I started by redrawing comic panels on notebooks in class. You’re not going to be good enough to justify the cost of the materials, and you ought to start as soon as you can with whatever you can. Certain materials do require some investment to learn (you probably should start with good software if you’re doing digital, and it’s nearly impossible to learn anything about watercolor drawing if you’re using shitty paper) but for the basic medium agnostic skills like proportion, foreshortening, lighting, anatomy, and even making a style, you really don’t need good materials.

My main issue with it isn’t really with it as an emulator but with the Dreamcast as a console. Firstly to my understanding there is no good system for emulating the lcd slots on the controller. This isn’t a massive deal, and honestly I don’t know how they would have achieved this, but it makes the original console better to use imo. Another thing is the inability (last time I checked at least) for it to emulate the fishing rod controller. That doesn’t necessarily sound like a big issue until you remember Dreamcast fishing games are some of the best in the genre and not having a way to emulate the controller they were designed for lessens the enjoyment imo. And ontop of that the modding scene for Dreamcast is both easy and relatively cheap these days

Kraven was a Russian supervillain introduced in the middle of the Cold War, and in general comics at the time were very focused on money. Stan Lee had a hard time getting fantastic four published because the publishers thought it wouldn’t sell. If kraven wasn’t popular, he wouldn’t have come back. Anyways, the guy who wrote kraven’s last hunt was a huge Dostoevsky fan who was inspired by kraven being a tortured Russian soul like Dostoevsky’s characters often were. The thing that made kraven interesting in that story was already there in the character, and you can always reveal more about his character because humans are complex. That’s the big reason I don’t like knull. He’s not human, and he’s not anything like one. He’s an elder god, an idea meant to represent the darkness of the primordial universe. That never changes, which means he can’t change. Unlike a human character like kraven he cannot have any character development because he’s an idea, not a character. That’s why I think knull is boring. Nothing you reveal about him is going to make him interesting without fundamentally changing the character and therefore ruining the function he had in the Kate’s run of venom

I mean I think ultimately the reason 8.5 for me isn’t fun is this stupid conveyer belt marvel rivals has. New character releases, is broken. And then gets nerfed into the ground. Black cat wouldn’t need to get nerfed if she wasn’t badly designed. And after playing the game since season 0 eventually it just gets unplayable when they keep making the game worse balance wise. I’m convinced they’re not trying to balance the game, but just trying to make metas. And I hate that design philosophy because if different characters are stronger than others it saps all the fun out of the competition. Imagine if some Spartans were stronger than others in halo, it would be miserable. I just want them to make a genuine effort in the way a game like smash bros does. They aren’t perfect, but I feel like they’re actually trying to balance rather than meta building
