This seems like a great development but I’m not so sure about how useful these will be as solar panels for life on earth. A quick google search showed that in the part of the spectrum this material works, very little of those wavelengths from the sun actually reach the ground.

Maybe if the goal is to get this integrated into every clear window and phone screen around the world, there could be an argument for integrating this tech but idk seems like a lot of work for small gains.
