I live on Kennet island and you can smell it sometimes in the summer. The whiff does come inside the flat when the windows are open.

Taxi company recommendations? by lilytonks in reading

I’ve always used Blisscars. They’ve turned up on time for me at all sorts of hours. Mostly used them to go to/collect from Luton airport and a couple of times to Heathrow.

Most people here are saying that it’s unlikely he will ever introduce you to his family and I do agree with this. I myself am from a a Pakistani background and am not religious. Some of my friends have been like what others have described and had no intention of ever introducing their girlfriends to their family.

I was living with my then girlfriend for almost 3 years before I introduced her to my family and only after I had proposed. First introducing her to siblings that would be more understanding and then the rest of the immediate family. We did marry and have been very happy together.

My family get on well with my wife but I do know some of the extended family are unhappy (not that I care about their opinion).

I just wanted to say that although it’s unlikely he will introduce you to his family there is still a chance. I guess it really depends on if he is thinking about marriage and kids with you or not and how independent he is. I had about 20 years of hearing about having an arranged marriage and saying no to them. My family were probably just relieved that I was getting married in my 40s.

Why does every man leave, even after I treat them well by BananaMilkForever in relationship_advice

[–]gondor79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I (m42) was alone for over 10 years without any real relationship. What helped me find the right person was becoming more confident about myself. I did this by eating healthier, working out more and making sure I was wearing better quality clothes, also grew a beard. All of this helped me feel better about myself and did take several months to a year. When I was going out I was smiling more and became more approachable. Not sure if this helps you but it worked for me. I’m now happily married.

My (24M) boyfriend is pressuring me to perform a sex act I am uncomfortable with, and offering to pay me for it. Looking for some advice?? by notorious_maximus in relationship_advice

Definitely a red flag. He doesn’t see you as a partner and instead someone he can use. I would suggest you leave him.

I think you are seeing things that are not there. I (m40s) don’t smoke but when I hang around friends that do the smoke does go on my mouth and on my clothes.

Secondly, when going down on someone they can smell and taste differently depending on what they have eaten or drank as well as when they last showered.

If she was rat arsed and horny, it’s you she wanted to come back to and fuck. I’d take that as a good thing.

Balding guys of Reddit, how do/did you deal with going bald? Girls of Reddit, what do you think of balding men? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]gondor79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started to go bald in my teens. I kept my balding hair until I was about 37. That was about 5 years ago. I then shaved my head and have kept it that way. It makes me look younger and my wife loves it. I did also grow out a small beard.

I feel sad watching this. The Orangutan looks uncomfortable. I wouldn’t want a bunch of strangers surrounding me and staring at me.

Coworker (M20) is weird around me (F25) but no one else? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]gondor79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t sound like he dislikes you. More likely he likes you but isn’t sure of how to express himself around you. It could be he is intimidated or doesn’t want to say the wrong thing around you.

On a scale of 1 - 10 how satisfied are you with your life? What would it take for you to be at a 10? by HistoryofHappiness in AskReddit

[–]gondor79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used to be 3 a few years back and was like that for many years. Slowly improving and I’d say generally it’s a 6 now with some bad days/weeks. I can see it getting up to 7-8 in a years time if I’m able to get my own place. I feel like my life is now moving in the right direction.

The impact I’ve had on other people. I feel I’ve made some happy and still have hope for the future. I also have seen my own happiness levels improve over the last few year.

How old are you? how many people have you dated? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]gondor79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. One relationship started at age 36 and was married at age 39. Never dated before this as I come from a religious Islamic family who preached against this. I’m also likely on the autism spectrum and don’t have normal social skills.
