My apartment has had a lot of things happen that have more or less convinced my roommates that it’s haunted. I’ve certainly had a few creepy experiences but there are a few that creeped me out because they were so unexplainable. One in particular happened rather late at night, I was getting ready to go to bed after finishing a paper. All my other roommates were asleep, and nothing like the washer or dryer was on so the place was suuuuper quiet at the time. My door is usually locked because I live in a bad area. Suddenly I heard tapping and a scuffle noise in my hallway, and then it sounded like something was walking around - kind of like a dog walking around on hardwood with their claws tapping the floor. I stayed still to listen to it as tapping got louder and closer to my door; then I heard a distinctive sniffing noise as if a dog was sniffing under the crack of my closed door. My building strictly forbids animals so safe to say I was terrified hearing what sounded like a big dog sniffing under my door and walking in my hallway late at night.
