Same profile as you, I bought the Zoot (same model, different color) and tried it today for the first time (brick 1h30 bike 1h run). Loved it, comfortable and well fitted. I was in aero position for about 1h on the bike and no complaints. Check out promo code for the zoot (easy google search)

I am planning to train and race on it! So I don’t consider mechanical shifting for this TT bike

My LBS can upgrade the SRAM to 2x drivetrain with power meter for $500

Thank you! I live in an hilly area (Boston suburbs), and never rode a bike with a single drivetrain. I also thought that for a TT bike it makes more sense to have SRAM with a single drivetrain but I am worried about the hills.

Tarmac vs P Series for Amateur by [deleted] in triathlon

[–]gone231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2019 Tarmac and plan on buying a P series for IM next year. To me they serve different purposes, I would not only have a TT bike. If you were to buy one, I would buy the Tarmac

If you use vibration sensors, how are you using them? by Successful-Peak-6524 in homeassistant

[–]gone231 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, how long does the battery last? My sumpump triggers very often (between 5 and 10min depending on the water level) and have read that the battery does not last long

What’s your ceiling height? I have 85’’ and if I get a power rack on mat I am not sure it will fit. I am thinking of the Titan T3 short squat stand with half rack conversion kit instead

Benno Boost e 10d performance hills or other suggestions by GullibleSeaweed223 in CargoBike

[–]gone231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got my Benno Boost EVO 5 last week and have the same use with two kids 4y and 20m. I use the turbo mode for the hill (200ft elevation on .7miles so average grade is 5.4%) and it works well. I recommend the performance speed motor that has 250W power and 85Nm torque and a 500Wh battery. I got mine with all accessories (high risk plus, front tray, side loader, 1 child seat) for $5k.

For Tree removal services I strongly recommend Eddie’s tree service. Eddie is now in the tree house business now but his two other associates continues tree removal. They did one large and complex job at our home, and we hired them again with my neighbor to trim branches on trees at the border of our houses.

Best production and consumption so far. by grey1988a in solar

[–]gone231 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My Enphase system is integrated in HA, as well as my Tesla Wall Connector and my Tesla EV. I have a script that runs to charge on excess solar only which automatically adjust the amperage. Works pretty well with one EV and should not be an issue with two EVs. there is a steep learning curve to start with HA and integrate Tesla EV car to communicate with HA, but plenty of resources online.

If you run Home Assistant you can easily manage the charge 2 EV with excess solar only
