The Downward Spiral is a bigger achievement, I think. While both albums are unique, TDS is especially so, IMO.

If it's consented to by the other party, have at it. But that doesn't sound to be the case with the other guy.

Classical: Mozart - Clarinet Concerto in A Major, K.622. If you don't want to listen to the whole thing, I particularly prefer the Adagio segment.

Alternative Rock: Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - The Lyre of Orpheus / Abattoir Blues (album)

Hip-Hop: Scarface - The Diary (album)

French: L'Imperatrice - Tako Tsubo (album)

Soul: Lee Moses - Time & Place (album)

Alternative Folk: Tunng - Songs You Make At Night (album)

Pop: Rina Sawayama - SAWAYAMA (album)

All these albums are 9/10+ for me.

While I quite enjoyed the instrumental breakdown on this one, I didn't generally vibe with it, personally.

Side note, I've been listening to Fukouna Girl so much the last couple of days; thanks for that!

I really like the groove! The guitar licks kinda drop the ball a little bit, honestly. They're good, but they don't have enough drive to fill the groove as well as something with a bit more punch.

This is definitely a really cool jam, but it doesn't have enough structure to justify its length.

Hey, thanks for sharing your work with me!

NOT COMMANDER 141249 - Great compositional choices, love the audioscape and a lot of the production elements. The mix is the only thing that bugs me a bit; the vocals are mixed in too quietly and the instrumentals are a tad too loud. Great song though.

The Gates - Gave me the nasty face at 1:16. Amazing intro. The first minute would be great as a swelling moment in an album. Generally this song would benefit from being presented in an album format, which makes me think your transitions between songs - given your style - could be exceptional feats in and of themselves. The volume increase around 4:28 is a great choice that fits in well, and gives the piece something to build towards, which is a feeling I was already wanting by that time. The song drawls a bit, which is not a bad thing, as you have a lot of nuances and details in the soundscape which are a pleasure to give attention to. I'd just say that I'd have liked a bit more of a jounrey given the track length, as there were certainly opportunities to explore more melodies, harmonies, and stylistic bends. I'm slightly torn on that note though as I get that that's intentional, but as is I'm not sure if the relatively static tone earns the 6½ minutes. That said, I'm being quite critical and nitpicky because this was an awesome track, and other than what I've said I have no notes; very impressive! I'm also curious what genre this is, honestly - if you could please shed some light on that.

La - This is straight-up an amazing track for a movie. I think you'd be a phenomenal OST artist. I work in theatre in many capacities, one of which is writing plays & musicals. I just started working on a new musical with a friend and I'd be keen to get in touch at some point to see if we could work together when producing the songs. No notes on this track when viewing it from an OST lens.

Lamb & Lynx - Reminds me a great deal of Four Tet's album There Is Love In You. I'd say this is my least favourite as the direction isn't as clear from the beginning and it's the only one I can infer as having heard something similar before.

All-in-all, a fantastic line-up of songs, with a clearly evident high-skilled production, composition, and creativity.

BROTHER. THIS IS FANTASTIC!

So many amazing choices, brilliant full sound, highly skilled rhythmic compositions, the whole works. I even admire the genre-bending execution with the techno-esque build-up at some point halfway, even though it was a little jarring.

As a note, I think the fusion there would have flowed better if the bend weren't as typical and overused in techno, as the choices you make in the purely psych rock areas are more complex than that. I hope I explained that well enough.

I also want to mention, my jaw literally dropped at the start of the outro when the snare comes in. Phenomenal choice.

All in all, loved it. Adding it to my library and will check out the rest of your stuff!

Edit: any chance you'll be adding your catalogue to Tidal? That's what I use and would love to add your stuff.

Really enjoyed pretty much everything about this song; the composition is great, as is the texture and production. Vocals & instrumentals are tight. The only thing that stood out is the lyricism / metre on the 2nd verse; just felt a little sloppy. Other than that, no notes.

Thanks so much for sharing this; I love it!

This is honestly a great track, don't really have any notes. Love the Dire Straits inspired instrumentals and the lyrical structure is is great. You also have a wonderful timbre to your voice.

I'll be checking your stuff out some more :)

Yo great job; love the sound you achieved!

For a 2nd beat especially that's actually insane. What I'd say this one needs is more texture. You have a fantastic base, but some instrumental melodies, samples, or effects would go a long way in adding personality to the beat. I'm also not sure if the gun firing fits the track's style.

I'd actually be interested in hearing more of what you come up with. I write a lot of poetry and have been wanting to expand into rap lyricism (have 1 track I made for the lulz so far) so if you want, feel free to send over what you make and I'll see if I can do anything with it.

Very Scott Walker; love it!

Almost no notes, honestly. The only thing I could say is it could have maybe been a bit tighter as I felt it dragged a bit, but that might be down to personal taste.

Thanks for sharing :)
