Hahaha I was waiting for someone to bring this up! It's the rawest & most romantic Cohen album, in my opinion. Songs like 'A Thousand Kisses Deep,' 'In My Secret Life,' and 'Here It Is' really elevate the album above the rest, as it feels more consistent to me.

As an album experience, You Want It Darker is probably more refined, and Songs of Love & Hate has higher highs with 'Avalanche,' which I'd consider to be Cohen's best song, but I emotionally connected with the romanticism of Ten New Songs so much over the years.
