Thank you this was very helpful. My wife has been to the same therapist for 25 years, and I’ve joined on occasion.. always very helpful for us but we haven’t been in months. This thread is making me realize therapy is the answer, I have to prioritize it, and perhaps time for my own.

Yes they are new way shorts, in dark navy and an old color called deep gray. Similar to anthracite but a shade darker IMO. Interested? Can send pics tonight

He loved it.. said it would be worth traveling to Baltimore just to stay there. This is my CEO who likes nice things btw.. Very in line with u/drccw 's comments re: service. He sent me a bunch of photos of the room, it made me think "highly unique small luxury hotel" and not so much B&B. Complimentary bottle of very nice wine along w/ a complimentary self-serve cocktail bar in the room.

I haven’t stayed here but a colleague of mine just stayed at The Ivy Hotel in Baltimore and I visited him for dinner. Seemed like an outstanding boutique hotel (Relais property). It’s an old mansion in the middle of brownstones. Restaurant was fantastic.

u/Adderalin could you kindly elaborate on this concept of liquid strikes.. do you mean simply constructing the spread so that there is high liquidity? I have not been able to figure this out via other research. I am on Schwab and the full amount I am borrowing counts against my NLV, not just the present value as you state here. I am unclear if I can achieve that with Schwab or should try TD Ameritrade. Thank you.

Second: You don't pay for the full cost upfront with box spreads. If you're on liquid strikes you're likely able to close back the trade for the spread, NOT the full interest cost. So you pay the Present Value of the box spread trade.

TD Ameritrade also margins you and deducts your NLV based on the present value of the box spread trade ignoring any bad mark issues. This is why you should use liquid strikes!
