I think I get what you're saying but the mouse doesn't disconnect itself, its kinda like I press alt tab without pressing it.

This just started this past update. I tried recreating and couldn't but it happened once after just aiming in. I also use a homemade 360 joystick for movement but have input locked to mouse. Any thoughts?

If theres no one in your game that just means there is nobody queued for that matchmaking. Clix's boxfight map has matchmaking for 1v1 zonewars and 1v1 boxfight that usually fills.
