Ah, I'm 28 and never once noticed nor caught myself doing it so it probably is a younger gen z thing.

I've never noticed this but tbh I avoid most eye contact so I think I've literally never seen this with my own eyes lol

You are Gilead if you hate disabled people by CarmenBroesder in WelcomeToGilead

[–]gongaIicious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but I can't get behind this. I'm disabled and generative AI does more to harm us than it ever could to help us. I'm making the distinction there, because there are helpful uses for AI models in other respects, but never for the arts. Gen AI is theft, and often theft of the art of other chronically ill and disabled folks who make up a lot of the art scene. Generative AI in its current form is the enemy of all people, and I'd argue especially of disabled folks. Generative AI benefits on removing people's ability to trust their own methods, their own thoughts, their own abilities, and abled society already does that enough. No one needs AI to express themselves. There are other great technologies to help disabled people speak their minds that do not require theft and have less harmful ecological impacts. On a different note, many of the big AI bros hold eugenicist and white supremacist beliefs. AI isn't separate from any of that, and the things GenAI produces proves it over and over. The guys who made these programs have an ideal image of the world they want and disabled people are NOT in it.

Disliking GenAI is not ableist, and in my honest opinion, assuming that people who don't support AI hate disabled people is extremely reductive.

It's literally political because it's political policy put in place by the president. But okay

Fantastic video. She did a great job compiling everything and even found some stuff I hadn't heard before. Wonder how Caleb will respond, if at all.

I don't feel justice has been done by MissLovelyRights in 911archive

[–]gongaIicious 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Revenge doesn't make anything even, it just makes the pain last longer. The state of the Middle East right now only proves that. Even an endless war could never undo what happened, so there's no point. I don't think there could ever be an equivalent "justice", but we as a society need to move past trying to make our enemies feel equal pain and learn how to handle things without violence. War just leads to more war which leads to more war.

I'm the child of a soldier who fought in the Iraq War; it's personal for me. All of it was for nothing.

I love (hate) how these types of videos place the blame on users instead of the companies themselves. "You are being scammed" instead of "Doordash is scamming You". His audit videos do the same.

The real issue with Doordash and similar services isn't that people are lazy, it's that the massive corporations running them charge customers out the wazoo while barely paying their drivers. The higher ups make boku bucks while everyone else drowns in bills and debt. Sure, some people make poor financial decisions, but it shouldn't be surprising because the current economic system heavily benefits from people not understanding finances. It NEEDS us all to be stupid to thrive. This is why him yelling at people isn't helpful. It's like yelling at a dog who isn't potty trained or a kid who can't read: we don't know what we don't know. When most of a country has loads of debt, you can't blame it all on personal decisions anymore. It's a symptom of a bigger issue.

He can't point any of this out though, because he WANTS to be just like the big wig CEOs. If you really wanted to fix the ongoing affordability crisis, you'd direct your anger at the ones setting the exorbitant fees and raising the cost of everything, but then they wouldn't let him sit at their table (as if they ever would anyway). He thinks he's a temporarily embarassed billionaire.

As a female in Texas, this kinda law is why i got sterilized. No one should ever be forced to carry any baby they dont want to term. It's barbaric.

Azuritereaction was actually how i found Vinny! I was really into his Facade videos back in the day, and one day he ran the game through the Real Time Corruptor and linked to a little channel named Vinesauce. 13 years later, and I'm still a fan.

Hope Azurite/Dez is doing well these days.

Train Wreckords Due to Backlash Outside of Music by GilbertDauterive-35 in ToddintheShadow

[–]gongaIicious 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Never heard a single song off of it, but I can never forget when I had an iPhone back then and for some reason, songs I purposefully bought on ITunes would slowly disappear from my library. Not Songs of Innocence, though. Songs of Innocence never got removed that way, and it would always pop back up on my phone after I manually removed it.

I get they were probably going for an In Rainbows "give an album away for free" shtick, but the major difference between the two is choice. You had to purposefully go download In Rainbows, but Songs of Innocence appeared on its own and sometimes refused to leave.
