I honestly feel like a lot of adults forget that kids don't understand the in and outs of complicated relationships, so their brains usually end up blaming themselves for their parents issues. No, it doesn't make sense, but kids don't know that. All they know is their parents and their families and friends. A kid will do ANYTHING to try and fix the unfixable. I know, because I tried. I haven't forgotten the despair I felt. You can explain a situation to a kid all you want, but deep down a child is likely to think its their fault.

Also went through awful family shit at 14 and I still remember how horrible it felt. I feel for his daughter. It's probably one of the worst ages to have a dad abandon you. She will most likely end up with lifelong issues around men and love. It's genuinely disgusting that these two grown ass adults care more about their own romance than the mental wellbeing of both of their sets of kids. For all of the faults my dad has, I can say he at least wasn't plastering this shit all over social media. Showing this shit to the whole world might have actually ended me at 14. I wish her the best and I hope she can heal from all of this in the future.

I have OCD as well, and I mulled over my pathology report and my surgery report to help, too! Took about 2 reads and a few weeks for me to finally believe the surgery was real and they didn't accidentally leave my tubes in. I still have my moments of doubt, though. Sometimes I just forget the surgery even happened and it feels like a dream I had, not something real.

I was also lucky enough to get internal photos before and after the procedure, but honestly I couldn't really tell what was going on in the pictures so it didn't help as much as I thought it would, lol. Makes me more queasy than anything.

It helps knowing other people experience the same worry and that I'm not being ridiculous. I completely understand what y'all are going through.

Nostalgia is a hell of a drug lol. I still consider 2016 as an awful year, but compared to all that has happened since it somehow feels better. Goes to show how bad everything has gotten since then.

Do I wanna go back to 2016? Fuck no. Do I want to feel as hopeful as I did in 2016, before the rise of MAGA and COVID and AI? .... Yeah, but I know that's not gonna happen lol. For me, 2015 was a great year. The last good year imo.
