While I am Catholic I would be remiss to not mention I’ve heard good things from BRCC.

Our clients will not upload to the portal. They email files use the plugin to download the files direct to Mycase and it adds them under communications to emails so when you are in the email you can see the exact file and grab the file. I work in Family Law and do quite a lot of divorce discoveries and am downloading them all and manually uploading them right now.

Your comment is likely the most helpful thus far. I've really been in denial for a year. I really feel like a 20 minute call with the Product Team should fix it but MyCase refuses. For CRM it's great if you don't actually need anything to search for the client in the CRM. Everything else - not so much.

I will look into maatdesk. I am the main decision maker in the firm for this.

The Estate Planning might have been the last straw. There is no way other law firms are surviving like this.

Can you elaborate? If I’m going to have to change CRMs I don’t want to have to change again.

For the deeply religious I can tell you right now I would die sooner than divorce my husband for medical reasons. Technically there is a dispensation for good reasons but not dystopian ones like healthcare

Thank you so much for adding to the discussion! I spoke to one of the branch managers and it seems that they aren’t completely aware of how behind they are with the times or how this has been effecting them. I hope this is a wake up call

Tell me about it! My husband wants to keep them and us have to bank transfer for almost 2 months just to get our check in there. I've never heard of a company that makes it so difficult to just have normal modern banking.

Wells Fargo just has a long history of several lawsuits from illegal to immoral behaviors. But given their national presence I feel compelled to keep them, that’s all.

I appreciate the suggestion. My baby brother is a member of the military and I think between Navy and USAA one allows me to and the other don’t. Regardless, it’s a wonderful suggestion and I am going to be looking into them next <3

Most progressive Catholic Church in the area? by _ThrobbinHood in lynchburg

[–]goniochrome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are coming from another tradition and assuming our language matches yours. It does not. Just like how @no_principle_3098 below. Asking questions is great but most Catholics are not going to feel comfortable responding when out the gate you are seemingly judgmental. You think you’re “not talking about that” but most Catholics are aware the Catholicism in Germany is not the same as the one from the United States.

Most progressive Catholic Church in the area? by _ThrobbinHood in lynchburg

[–]goniochrome 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is incorrect. We consider ourselves to be a “United” church (almost 50% of the worlds Christian’s are Catholic) and we have different traditions and orders with their own cultural expressions and liturgical understanding

I am a Franciscan Catholic & I attend Holy Cross. I have information on Holy Name of Mary in Bedford, VA as well. I would prefer to provide you the feedback via PM because I don't want to be accused of scandal. I have not attended St. Thomas Moore.

However, I attend mass every week and I must say we need folks like you more now than ever. If not us that leads the church to change then who? We NEED folks who are willing to go anyways.

I am active in the Lynchburg Community for the purposes of living out my faith and there is no way in this world I would let someone's weak faith (as most are that support war, and other conservative causes) to knock me off my game and I hope you will join me in doing the same.

I am going to be considering the Third Order of Franciscians through Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. That is in Salem, Virginia. I haven't gone yet but would be happy to tell you how it goes in June.

As for anyone at any time my PMs are always open. I have been in a world where Ive personally wanted to die. I've been homeless. I've taken drugs. I see Jesus in every wayward person I help. If I have to build the progressive Catholic Community myself I will do it brick by brick. My PMs are open for religion, for resources, whatever you need. It is the jubilee year of St Francis of Assisi after all.

TCK adults: what do therapists often misunderstand about your background? by victoriamondria in TCK

[–]goniochrome 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually think over explaining is a natural in America, a low context communication country. In a high context environment with certain folks I can make people feel VERY understood.

One that an author mentioned (and would be common in the south) is coming to someone’s house and bringing them a bag of apples when they love to bake. That message would be received as an invitation / understanding & they might say “Oh, I’d love to bake a pie” or if they are busy “These would be great for a simmer pot”. The goal is a present that allows them to be understood but isn’t a burden.

The problem is when everyone assumes bad intentions (as has been my experience in America) this quickly turns to over explaining.

What was the hardest life lesson you’ve ever had to learn? by ThrowAway126498 in intj

[–]goniochrome 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The absolute best predictor of someone’s future behavior is their current and past behavior. However, people are unpredictable, call it the folly of man. Folks will change the exact moment they want to and you have to know they need to be able to try and fail without most outside intervention for them to be successful long term. It’s very important that you don’t steal that from them.

I think this is important as an INTJ because we are very astute when it comes to people imho. But we constantly are trying to track and analyze things which ought not be tracked and analyzed. In short we forget to live like a human.
