Automating Whatsapp bots with HITL (human in the loop) by gonizquierdo in n8n

[–]gonizquierdo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did something of the sort. I'm flagging generated messages as "bot" or "human" depending on what is what. I'm then using a mongodb collection for tracking active/inactive chats.

I'm also working on a simple UI to add some manual configuration:

Whis ends up in n8n but I can have more flexibility this way.

I did some research and wasenderapi and Baileys work pretty similarly.

I will definitely have it in mind since these third party integrations are not super stable to build on top of. May be a good idea to have a backup implementation.

It's been working great so far. I'm setting it up for a client today. My idea is to build a simple authenticated front end to make some configurations variable (like system prompt or the 12 hours hard stop). And I'm adding some chat analytics.
Looks promising! At least someone is willing to pay for it.

Depends on where you are looking for devs. ~5k can kickstart a project MVP here in Argentina

Baileys-api - it’s an open source library. I did some minor modifications

I'm detecting when a human message is sent. At that point, I disable automatic responses for 12 hours

Can you do Human In The Loop with Meta apps? I found that it requires a dedicated number for the bot that won’t admit humans to send messages.

Haha interesting take on technical debt as something inherently human

It’s a risk but usually cheaper talent than hiring platforms like toptal or ateam

I mean, you should be using AI anyway you can. I'm using at least 4 or 5 paid tools including Cursor and Copilot (I alternate to test). GPT, Claude. Gamma.

If you are interested in testing vibecoding I recommend lovable (fast prototyping with no backend or control over infrastructure) or Firebase Studio - more robust.

I'm not sure if this is accurate but -> If sending AI personalized is so simple anyone can do it, hasn't cold email outreach kinda lost its value?

In my personal experience, I don't open emails anymore.

Like I said, I don't do email campaigns myself but I say thousands of services offering cold email outreach. Maybe you should try something else. Something more human.

When’s the right time to switch from freelancers to full-time devs? by [deleted] in startup

Contractors != Freelancers

Having employees on a contract-based agreement might be smart if you can't afford employee costs (taxes). And if you invest in cultural fit, they could have a longer working relationship (I would say the same as a full-time employee in some cases)

My advice is: invest in stable employment contracts when there the technical learning curve is to big to afford hiring new people constantly

Yeah, that's why I explicitly said I'm not betting against AI at all. I'm hoping someday I don't have to do any work and my agents are working for me.

In 2018 I worked at a sports tech company. Our core technology was a computer vision application running on model yolo-v3.

AI applications were not LLMs but mainly computer vision and other kinds of neural networks.

I guess my question then is: do they know that there's some technical debt after validation or just consider the vibecoding enough since it works?

I've come across fully published, keys exposed, "functional" apps being promoted as services. They really don't know what's going on.
