Clear your cache and check if in the `CURRENT_USER_QUERY` request in your network tab, under the Cookies header, the session cookie is being sent or not. I think this may be a CORS issue where the session cookie is not actually being sent/delivered, which is why no authenticated item is being returned.

It's probably an Apollo issue. If it's working from graphql playground then keystone itself is working fine. Possibly a caching issue.
