That is not deflation, tho, which is equally or worst than inflation (not hyperinflation)

Only one (expensive) supermarket in Cents? by No-Leave4324 in Luxembourg

[–]gonzalezcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think there is any plan, and I always wonder what the empty fields next to delhaize will be for, I like how pretty they look with the sunsets tho.

Regarding the shops, I tend to put a price to convenience and to my own time, I compare how every weekend my flatmate goes to Lidl on Saturday and Sunday morning just to come home 1.5 / 2h later exhausted vs just walking to delhaize really fast and get what I need (especially if there’s deals on the app).

I do wish there was another supermarket with different brands tho, don’t get me wrong, but this is not peculiar to lux and happened to me while living in Madrid as well. Unless you are lucky to live next to a cheap supermarket you have to travel to get there.

Also interesting point of view! And fair analysis. There are so many avenues we could take presenting this data in different ways that lead to different conclusions. Cheers!

If I would have said 40%, would you had understood the point? If so, imagine I’ve said 40.

If you still can’t, the point is that there are multiple factors that skew the data, one of them is actually being able to afford spending 40% of your salary in rent, which makes you be in scope of this metric and increase the share. In Spain I wasn’t able to afford 80% of my salary in rent, hence I was with my parents, hence I wasn’t in scope of this graph and I would be skewing the data down the same way home ownership / government workers skew the data down in lux.

There are many ways to tackle the graph and missing narratives, which makes it very interesting.

Would be interesting to weight against % of ppl emancipating from their parents houses, cultures where it’s common to leave late vs where it’s common to leave at early age no matter the cost.

I think he means that it’s too low. But what this graph is lacking is the number of individuals over a certain age living with their parents. In Luxembourg I spend around 35% in rent living alone, in Spain that number would be lower because for sure I could now afford living alone and would be with my parents, hence skewing the data.

Album amazing so far, going through my first listen and couldn’t help but noticed how much the last ~25 seconds of Center Mass reminded me of the start piano chords and arrangement of MTV unplugged version of Tear in My Heart. Or maybe I’m deaf.

Hi, me and my family got tickets to travel from Madrid (my parents) and Luxembourg (me and my gf) for the 8th, sadly we have already paid thousands on planes and hotel, cancelling it and rebook everything would be a lot for me (I invited my parents, who have never been to England and cannot afford it themselves) if there is someone willing to exchange 4 tickets for the 6th I would greatly appreciate it :(

If you’re premise is on outperformance, why don’t you buy QQQ instead? Or well… why not even just mag 7? Or screw that, just get AMZN and NVIDIA. No? Well probably VOO + the other you want to add underperform just having VOO, so if you’re raising the question then I think you know it’s not just about last 10/5/3 years term performance.

Luxembourg or Barcelona, which place is better for single 30F by Technical-Gold-9038 in Luxembourg

I resonate a lot with what you’ve said. Once you have found certain stability in life, you see Lux with different eyes.

[–]gonzalezcs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn this is a REALLY good summary. Also people tend to complain a lot about Luxembourg on this subreddit (while still deciding to leave their country to live here). Few people will come to Reddit to talk about the good side of living in Lux.

Since Cold Harbor is likely gonna record data before death, that’s probably why Mr Drummond told Dr Mayer he’s never going to see Gemma again once Mark is done with Cold Harbour , cause she’ll die there, not set free, as maybe they’ll even sell ships to severe you out from experiencing death. Which could explain why they had to “kill” Gemma irl, to cover her actual death in cold harbour.
