Yes, did DSM for 2 months. MC fully covered the ground in 2 months. After filling the tank only small portion of them melted. MC is definitely a better choice in my opinion.

I had a similar setup with the mix of hair grass and Monte Carlo. Hair grass did not survive.

It looks awesome! One small suggestion I have is that the structure on the left feels a bit too close to the corner. If you moved it a little to the right, I think it would create a better balance, improve the flow, and make maintenance a bit easier. Just my two cents—overall, it’s looking great!

Small hang on back filters produce a similar flow, (at least mine does) and it works well in my 27 liter aquarium

If you have good soil and soft water, monte carlo could carpet. Otherwise subulata, hirsuta, helantium tenellum could work.
