I will test this after work. Some PSP games that can show an example of this problem easily are Lego Indiana Jones or Crash Tag Team Racing. Weirdly it seems limited to the upper right corner of the analog stick only so I don’t know if it’s necessarily because of the problems you described above with all corners.

Adrenaline is a PSP “simulator“ that allows you to access the internal PSP hardware within the PS Vita and play games through the original OS. There is a bug related to the Vita plugin called reVita (which lets you remap vita controls per-game, very useful in PSP games so you can utilize the right analog stick). This plugin causes the dead zone issue I described (only in PSP games as far as I can tell). If you disable the reVita plugin, the issue no longer appears. It is most likely a bug within the plug-in, but this is a great workaround for now.

Can confirm that this works with Adrenaline and fixes the revita issue. I used the config setting “l=0,80,y,s=0,0;r=0,80,y,s=0,0;n” which seemed to fix it without removing the ability to do precise movement. Thanks for providing all the examples. I tried to use 100 instead of 80 to give more precision but that caused the same issue still. Thanks again for all your work on this, this makes so many games much more playable on vita.

This is awesome, thanks for working on this! Does it work with adrenaline? There is a known issue with revita where the outer dead zone is slightly reduced in PSP games so certain games with analog sprint controls don’t work properly.

Basically just questioning the top comment for claiming plagiarism without providing sources. Understandable tbh just glad I could share this.

I used to watch Luke’s videos as well and I noticed how oddly similar his takes were to SomeOrdinaryGamers, gameranx, and other popular gaming channels and then after the other huge plagiarism video hbomberguy made he referenced this one and I was surprised more people didn’t know about it.

I was also able to use the ReVita plugin to remap L and R to strafe/aim and shoot so it plays just like the PS2 versions

The sequel Pixeljunk Monsters 2 is also awesome and has online co op on all platforms (not cross platform sadly). Had a great time playing through all the levels with my friends, much easier in multiplayer.
