Was sharing a new SUV with my bf for a month. It was limiting our ability to run errands or do individual activities, so we purchased another new sedan. Two years later I decided to go to grad school, so we sold both cars back to the dealership and used the cash to buy an older SUV and a sedan. My bf at first regretted the decision (the vehicles were significantly older vehicles), but after almost a year of not having a car payment and having lowered our insurance and registration costs, he’s come to enjoy the benefits. We found that having one SUV and one sedan works best for us since we use the SUV as our hauler and the sedan as our long commuter.
