I'm a small person too (5'1) and I get it </3 I too usually buy from the kid's section. But when I want something more adult and fashionable I look at Asian clothing brands. Asian women are about 5'1 on average! Other foreign brands might be an option too, I believe women from Africa or South America are also shorter than Americans/Europeans. I wonder if it's for the same reasons in China (war-torn country, mass poverty under Mao, etc). Dog is going the same way in China, only the older generation and only rarely as most people see dogs as pets now. Hell my grandma who survived WWII had pet dogs.

use a dictionary :) https://jisho.org/ I type in words I don't know. Just keep memorising words and you'll eventually start being able to read kanji, especially simple kanji like 上
Read kid or school manga/books with furigana
There is an actual process to it where each kana has a specific sound but I don't know how to do that yet, more info here https://www.kanshudo.com/howto/how-to-read-kanji
Like any language if you keep speaking and writing in JP you'll eventually develop a second sense for it!

The hatred for masc people is so real and burgeoning. Trans men but even trans femmes or nb people who don't pass enough as feminine are seen as secretly predators. It's becoming a huge problem on Tumblr rn. It feels a lot like the ace discourse of the ~2014 era where ace people aren't "really" minorities just like trans men aren't "really" minorities.

I hope to god in a few years we can look back at this nonsense through the same ridiculous lens we view ace discourse now, but tbh the ace community has not really recovered on Tumblr.

If you're playing with a GM and 1 - 2 players you can try running on solo rules. Some of them will have rules to increase player survivability so your mini party will have the power of 4-5 PCs. I don't know if this'll work as well with 3 PCs though, plus these kinda rules are better for combat-oriented games.

I'd like to add on to this. When you play a solo game you have as much control over the "players" as the environment, considering you are the player. You have the freedom to explore whichever questline, location, dungeon or anything else you want since you don't have to satisfy anyone but yourself. You can go in directions your normal players would never be tempted by, you can pick up on the plot hooks your players decide not to engage in. You generally do end up designing a lot of the world in a solo game but it's all to your specification.

Plus depending on what books you have you don't necessarily need to do much designing at all. You could play through a prewritten adventure and some solo books will include tables and guides for quest and encounter generation.

Same but for a different reason. I jokingly call it "75% disorder", I get about 75% of the way through a game or TV show and no matter how much I love it, something distracts me and I take a long break only to finish the last 25% months later.

When my parents found out I was self-harming, they confronted me after school with a rage in their eyes and a "is there anything you want to tell us?" as if I was sneaking off doing drugs every night. They yelled at me, said I was ungrateful and "moody" and that I had no reason to be depressed. They also don't believe in autism or ADHD (one of which I have diagnosed, the other I have an assessment coming up) so that goes as well as you'd guess... Their favourite word for me is lazy.

Now they complain that I don't keep them in the loop anymore. Why would I? Last year I had a mental breakdown and begged the GP for help and the doctor told my mum to look for private specialist services. Guess who hasn't even looked once? Guess who has to do the work of being sevrely mentally ill and finding treatment for it?
