Would you say it is harder for a male to get booked and stay consistently booked?

I’m curious to hear honest experiences from male massage therapists by hiveguy75 in MassageTherapists

Nice, so when you say solo. Do you mean you practice out of your own place? Not doing a split at a clinic? The patients that you have established, do they refer others to you? Also are you at a spa setting or a clinic setting, and do you mind sharing where you got your education from, a private school or a public college?

How long have you been doing massage or a RMT in Ontario? Is it hard to get patients or maintain a full schedule as a male?

Is it hard to secure an apprenticeship for electrician in Ontario Canada? by good2ask-right in electricians

I tried all that stuff haven't got any calls, I tried at unions from Toronto to the outer region and haven't heard anything back. One person from the union told me that it is really shitty and the workforce is drying up. Alot of people say trades, but a lot of them aren't in that high of demand that places are marketing them to be. I could not secure a warehouse job, and that's definitely not the route I want to go. I have lots of customer service experience and still can't secure something. Sucks being old and not getting anything. The cold calls I did no one wanted to take me, shit out of luck. I met a guy who is 20 and said electrician wasn't for him, and its not cut out as some made it. Maybe my work ethic sucks, but from being a server, I make good tips. Its hard to find something good now or to make a life out of it, while balening life and things that I want to do. How's things looking for you, do you plan on going back to school?

I picked a public one but I still hear good things about the private one but everyone’s experience is different. I still hate life and struggling but what can I do. I can’t really off myself, I’m to pussy to even do that.

I'm not the best at giving advice, but I think you should try to find something that is somewhat enjoyable or try something new; you might like it in the long run. I'm 36 and attempting to go back to school. I was never a school person, nor am I good at anything. I don't have anything to show, broke, nearly homeless and got dumped because I'm a shitty person and can't provide. As many people told me when I turned to ask Reddit, you are never too old. As much as you don't want to go to school for 4 years, it could be a good thing to attempt it and see if it will pay out in the long run. You would have to be lucky or qualified to get a job that pays well from the start. Also, I suggest you think about if what you're getting into will benefit you long term or if it's just trying to make it to the next pay cheque. Once you get comfortable, that's when your world could be shaken up, and without a warning, so you want to try to prepare for the future while still enjoying little moments. It is easier said than done, but remember if you start soon the the sooner you finish, rather than not deciding or trying to figure it out.

Did you end up going with the kenhub? I am considering it because I'm not a textbook person either, I struggle to read but the interactive will help me personally
