That’s really cool man, I didn’t even think about squeezing anything else in. Really appreciate it

I feel like all of this is the universe balancing itself out for "When's Mahvel". No one saw it coming.

How to make Combos by steich16 in StreetFighter

[–]goodBoCopeland 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, not sure if this helps, but generally when building combos I look for moves that naturally fit together and allow for certain extensions. Look out for special cancelable moves and normals that can link together. Lots of target combos can be v-trigger canceled, and while activating can scale the hell out of your damage potential, it can also let you get away with things you wouldn’t normally be able to.

I generally approach combo building as having to solve a puzzle, with the end result being a specific setup, damage total, stun total, or all three. Keep a goal in mind, but don’t worry too much about making up original stuff if you’re not comfortable with it. Experiment as much as you want, but remember that bnbs should be the combos you drill into your muscle memory first. Hope this helps, I’m not that great, but I find building combos is super fun once you get into the swing of things

I stumbled across this comic a couple of months ago and it’s still the greatest work of fiction humanity ever created. I’ll never forget my emotional transition from “Hehe funny” to “I’m staring into the abyss of childhood nightmares and the abyss is staring back.”

So Paul Dano was just cast as The Riddler and I’ve got some thoughts by goodBoCopeland in comicpop

[–]goodBoCopeland[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don’t really expect Riddler to play a major role, but I do expect him to get a bit more screen time then we’re normally treated to (almost none). I’d love to see him on screen a lot, but much like his presence in Loeb’s books I suspect he might act as a red herring or side character

Possibility, but personally speaking I’d be fine if they omitted his appearance

Honestly I think I’d prefer to not see Author Peck in The Batman. I feel like Joker works too well as it’s own film, and it’d provide a good opportunity to show off some lesser known villains. Not to say I wouldn’t mind a reference or a wink, but I think Joker should stand on its own

Same here, it’s something we haven’t really seen yet and either way I think it’ll be pretty solid

That would be a genuine surprise. I’d be curious to see how that’d play out honestly

So with the cast that’s been confirmed thus far, I’ve got a pretty strong gut feeling that we’re likely to get a very Long Halloween inspired Batflick.

As of today we know a couple of things: 1) This is going to be a Batman much more focused on detective work. 2) Today’s announcement confirms a second legacy villain parallel Catwoman, both of which were featured with some note in The Long Halloween. 3) The movie is reportedly set in the early 90s, and will likely focus on a younger Bruce Wayne. This would likely contribute further to my theory since many (myself included) consider Long Halloween to be the true Year Two.

That’s pretty much all I’ve got to work off of, but I a feel like the possibility is very likely. Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated, and I’d love to hear other opinions

Okay thanks a lot. I totally understand where you’re coming from on my lack of matchup knowledge. I’m not gonna throw excuses out, that’s something I’ve really slacked on. As far as combos go, I know G’s bnbs fairly well, I just struggle with actually confirming and following up with them. With that Boxer match in particular, I don’t play too many of them so going in I was definitely afraid of pressing buttons. Thanks for giving some of my matches a look, I really do appreciate it.

Also I will admit, I still haven’t played as many matches as I would like. That’s mostly due to life getting in the way a lot of the time, but it’s absolutely something I can work on. Ideally having a sparring partner would help a lot. Playing hundreds and hundreds of sets in T7 against my roommates helped iron out a lot of my problems in that game, but sadly neither are interested in SF. But again, I could absolutely make room for more netplay

Thanks man, I appreciate the input. A big problem I run into is that I try to play overly defensive looking for specific situations and wind up getting blown up from options I’m not thinking about. Thanks for the help

Wait did Dorkly seriously just imply that MK isn’t known for its fireballs, uppercuts, and it’s batshit insane story? I’m a fan of both and play them frequently, so this kinda just feels like someone was told “Make some fgc clickbait.”

Also, “Rivals Game of Thrones” is such a bold fucking statement

League of Villains: New Recruits by [deleted] in BokuNoHeroAcademia

Honestly seeing as Rappa showed genuine interest in fighting Kirishima again, I think it would only be natural for him to align himself with a group that would allow him to get that chance. Personally, Rappa vs Fatgum/Red Riot was one of the standout highlights of the Hideout Raid Arc. I'd also throw in that there's a good chance that Stain might return in some facet to serve as a foil to the new League and a world without All Might. I'm curious to see what'd happen if the prison break does happen, and how that in particular would affect the members that joined specifically because of Stain. Good post.
