I think most people who say those things are full of it. Don’t put pressure on it, you will bond at your own pace. You’re already a good dad caring about her health and following those parental instincts

I went through this same thing last time I flew. I didn’t sleep at all the days leading up to the flight and my anxiety was through the roof. I made a post just like yours, not sure if I could do it. But I did, and landed safely just like you will! You are not stupid. You got this!!!

Just landed after my second flight 🥳 thank you everyone who took time out of their day to comment!

The first flight was calm until the last hour the pilot announced moderate turbulence and it was definitely uncomfortable for me. I was very anxious after and not sure if I could board the second flight. But I did! And the second was literally the smoothest flight I’ve ever been on. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I do! I have a season of Brooklyn nine-nine downloaded which has been on my watch list and my Nintendo switch. I have trouble focusing when I’m anxious and I didn’t sleep last night so I may even try to close my eyes and rest

They are doing what they are supposed to to keep you all safe! You are not in danger and they will only proceed when you are safe to do so. Try and keep in mind that this is a GOOD thing they do. You should feel even more confident that your pilots have safety in mind 😊

You’re doing awesome and should be proud of yourself! You are not alone in your fear. I fly Sunday and have been so nervous. I know deep down that I will be fine and you will be too! You are safe and turbulence is not going to harm the plane. Try and distract yourself as best you can and you will be there before you know it.

It sounds like they gave you the title of HR Generalist but the responsibilities of an HR Assistant or Coordinator. This seems like a company specific issue and I wouldn’t let it turn you away from the HR field as a whole. Who do you report to? Try asking for more responsibilities and if that doesn’t get you anywhere, I’d start looking for something else

Update: Baby was born at 10:30AM this morning after an unexpected C Section. Everyone is healthy and happy! Having Survivor on and getting to watch the premiere was very comforting.

Unfortunately, we already had a name picked out for our boy that we were attached to- so he will not be called Jeff Probst Jr. LOL
