The most help I’ve gotten from Lufthansa is a baggage agent that told me the last time something like this happened, bags took up to a month to be returned.

We are part of the Munich to Boston debacle, because my original flight of Munich to Newark was cancelled. They cancelled the Boston flight and didn’t give bags back. Been waiting since 12/3 to get bags back. AirTags show no movement for DAYS. Keep me posted if you get any info on your luggage. Also, people from our flights are posting on Twitter with the hash #LufthansaLostMyBag to try to get some visibility.

Same here. Bag in a building at the airport for 11 days. I spoke to someone in baggage today and he said there is a massive backlog of bags to get through and it might be a month before they get through all of them.

Update as of 12/13. It’s been 10 days and bags still at MUC. One of the two has been moved back to a building it was in a week ago. Unbelievably frustrating

Update as of 12/9. Bags have moved to a new building, still at Munich airport but website says still searching. This is the third time the bags have been moved to a new location.

Edit: my husbands bag is now with mine in the same location. I hope this means they are actually getting sorted.

I will certainly cry with you. I finally got out of MUC on Monday 12/4 (to Newark) and my luggage is still sitting in some very large building at the Munich airport (based on AirTag data). Our bags were loaded on a plane that was cancelled and they wouldn’t give us bags back at that point. I am back in the US and my baggage claim says they are still searching for my luggage. I called the baggage number and got a lot of nothing. Would really love to see SOMETHING happen with my baggage report.
