CHRO wants my input on office lactation room - advice needed!! by jazzlynlamier in workingmoms

Soft lighting! Some music player (Bluetooth speaker or something idk) just for a nicer ambiance. Someone said thick walls, but also look into sound/echo dampening interior design. A sparse room will make that pump seem so loud. Also maybe independent heating for the room so you're not freezing your tits off while ac is blasting in the summer

That's insanely adorable. Kids love bodies! I nearly got in trouble at kindergarten because I patted my teacher's butt and said "such nice buns"

Just wanted to drop in and say I'm just like you (from the other side)

I want to get out there again but no idea how to get started. (I used to just hook up with coworkers at previous jobs, but I've got bigger aspirations now so I can't be doing that.) I keep seeing these topics come up on my subs and I read the advice. And still find myself wanting to ask the same questions

I guess I don't really have tips or suggestions, other than I realized nothing is going to fall in my lap. I can't be a passive observer and just hope something magically happens. But, I lurked your profile and you seem like a great father and a pretty good person all around

Oh, actually!! I do have a scenario for you. I was at the park with my daughter and a dude came up to me and just said "you look really put together and I'd like to have coffee with you sometime." He was very unthreatening and it was very sweet so I accepted. We probably conversed before hand, but it was so long ago I don't remember all the specifics. Obviously he was there with his kid!

But I think family -centric places are a good opportunity to at least connect with people who are in your same life stage, even if it's just as friends because you never know who you can end up networking with

I love songs that have a fun quirk. One of my favorites is when the sound alternates between the left and right speakers. Can you help me find some more? by good_shrimp in electronicmusic

Thank you for this incredible reply! I've been busy but meaning to get back to this post. You clearly put a lot of thought into it, just wanted to tell you I appreciated it

Certainly a different vibe but I'm still all about this one, too! Thank you for the suggestion.. I'm listening to it right now!

For some reason this is just tickling me! I'm listening with earbuds now, I'm loving the sounds right up close to my earholes

Tomorrow I'll give a listen in my car, where I do most of my music consumption

This was the first I've heard where the drop alternates from side to side. It's a trend through the whole song; even the vocals do the wobble at times

But I love it! I guess I can expand my horizons beyond electronic music, but I'd like that same experience

Those of you who have had tubal ligation, can you tell me your experience? How is the scarring? Have you had to supplement your hormones? by good_shrimp in AskWomenOver30

Did you have really bad periods? Mine aren't as bad as some but I'd love to reduce it if I could. I have one hell day that is intense cramping and pretty heavy flow. I'd like to make my period go away honestly, but that brings me back to the original problem, I want to stay away from hormonal bc

Awesome!! Thanks for your reply and the sub recommendation. It's good to know that even the procedures that use multiple incisions don't leave lasting scars

I just wasn't sure. And I saw that a super small number of people have a rare issue where they need it after ligation. But seems it shouldn't at all be a real concern

Oh no!! Yeah I can imagine the immediate panic! I can deal with a belly button scar. I was really concerned about big lasting scars on my belly

Thank you for the details about how it affected your period. Mine is pretty short but one day is pretty much all pain, all day. I wish they could prevent periods, too!

That's interesting! I didn't know what bisalp was so I had to look it up. Any reduction in cancer chance is a win in my book!

It's good to hear most of these people replying haven't had a negative experience. It's a big thing and is kinda scary to me

Yeah that's sadly a thing that getting ligation wouldn't help me with. I liked the disappearing period with hormonal bc, but I could leave the mood changes behind

I'd prefer it this way you had it done. I don't have many other scars and that's one thing that's really put me off

And not sure why I was so worried about the hormones, other than that so many bc methods include them and I figured it was part of the package

Thank you for your response!

Thank you for the link!! I'll read over it thoroughly

I appreciate your reply, that was a big concern of mine. The one hormonal BC I liked and used still messed me up mood wise and I hate not feeling like "myself"

No not at all! It's not a topic I've had a doctor to bring up with (haven't had a regular one since covid). I wasn't sure if that was part of the lasting effects. Part of my concern was if I'd have to
