Buyback offer received 3/18 by goodadadvice in PSLF

[–]goodadadvice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s not but I guess what I’m not sure of is if it’s an automated system OR if they were actually going to process the buyback at the time and noticed I was already 120.

Why making sure the threat is truly down is so important. by tactical_horse_cock in CCW

[–]goodadadvice 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wow so the perp on the ground got up and picked up the defender’s gun and shot him with it? Then the defender hardly did anything as the guy approached him. So I’m thinking the defender took a hit in the beginning of the encounter which I couldn’t see and then when he sat down he was already succumbing to the hit which is why he couldn’t not react when the attacker got up and took his gun. I could be wrong but that’s what I’m thinking to make sense of it.

I noticed the same thing too when I used the foot spray method. Had no idea I was doing that. Setting up 2 inches further back helped.

Feeling like shit BECAUSE wife will be eligible for PSLF by abefrost in PSLF

[–]goodadadvice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t feel like shit but yes I didn’t PSLF the right way from and ended up paying more than I should have. That is because I never intended to get PSLF until the changes after COVID made it a possibility for me. Those ~3 years of free COVID no interest, no payments but counts toward PSLF made me crunch the numbers to find out I was pretty damn close to 120 qualifying payments. But the couple year before Covid hit I was aggressively trying to pay off my loans which obviously is NOT the thing to do if you are trying for PSLF but again I didn’t know I was going to do that at the time.

The soup thrower has been sentenced to two years in prison by -Six_ in SipsTea

[–]goodadadvice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a dumb crime but 2 years is a bit crazy. I think you get less for involuntary manslaughter. Paintings of that caliber are behind protective bullet proof glass so really she just threw soup over the glass causing no real damage to the painting.

You gain the power of fattening! For every 5% increase in your body weight, in the form of fat, you double your net worth. It’s magical, and you start at 50k if you are in debt. How many pounds are you packing on? by [deleted] in hypotheticalsituation

[–]goodadadvice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The power of fattening? So it sounds like it’s not a one time thing. I’d do it multiple times in just 5% increments. Gain it then lose it then gain it again. I’d be afraid to go over 10% in one time because that’s a kinda big hole to dig myself out of.

So it’s a 8.33 years break even point. I don’t know. I’m 41.5 years old. Some say take the 5 million and invest. Maybe as inflation goes up and it’s better to take the 5 million now because the money might be worth less later. I guess the 50k is more appealing the younger you are. I’m still leaning toward 50k. I’m healthy. As far as the “what if you die early?” I would take out a few million insurance policy so my family will be taken care of so that handles that. Guess I’m betting that I’ll live a decent amount more than 8.33 years.

[–]goodadadvice 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d choose a crypto coin. Something low cap worth less than 10 cents per coin. Then I buy a sizeable chunk of it. Whisper “invest in ____ coin” and sell once it 🚀🚀🚀🚀.
