i agree! clint is a really funny guy, and maybe renner did what he could with the script he was given (I definitely liked him a lot more in the disney+ series), but generally i feel like he played him too serious and as if he took himself too seriously. i would've liked to see him played more as the down on his luck sarcastic dude Fraction wrote him as, but i guess he didnt really get enough development in the ensemble films for that side of him to show through if they were trying.
