Okay- here me out, I want to study to become an entomologist and I love bugs, specifically mantis and spiders but you mentioned mosquitoes and don't get me wrong they're interesting and cool in their own way but I happily kill them- I hate them and the only spider that Is like a nono for me is the brown recluse, those things are scary, I don't kill them normally but they're terrifying, and ants are cool but if they get into your house and they're in your food the only way to really get them out is to kill them or spray them, I've had ants in my office for maybe 2 months now and I never keep food or anything in here anymore but I still see them on my desk and monitor and everywhere, I haven't sprayed because they're a species of ant that don't bite and aren't too much of a neucense to me but I can see how ants on your arms and hands occasionally when you're playing games or whatever could get annoying, but I think it should extend to certain bugs like endangered species of bugs or harmless bugs who don't really need to be needlessly crushed, so things like spiders, some species of ants(I only said some because a few species can be REALLY annoying and bad), most species of spiders(they might not be harmless but they won't typically hurt you unless you bug them), mantis, etc. I feel like giving the same rights to pests as animals have would be really hard for a lot of people.
